Not to mention, if the WHO had listened to Taiwan saying it could be transmitted human-to-human, then perhaps the GOV would have realised it was more serious than they were lead to believe. But apparently that had no effect at all.

Tough read on 12:19 - Apr 19 with 3463 views | Sadoldgit | Sadly fewer people read The Guardian than the Tory mouthpieces so the message won’t get out to those who really need to hear it. Those who will continue to blame Labour for everything despite the years of enforced austerity. I see the previous poster is at it again (is he the love child of Occasional Showers?) despite the fact that plenty of Tories were anti Brexit too. Still, if you question this Government you are scum, a traitor and should be put up against a wall and shoot, so best keep quiet eh?
Tough read on 12:20 - Apr 19 with 3463 views | thissceptredsaint | Because governments can only do 1 thing at a time, what a load of rubbish. Corbyn wasn't blocking Brexit in January when these idiots were ignoring scientists and Boris was bunking off Cobra meetings

If he hadn't tried to block a democratic process from June 2016 then Brexit would have been done much earlier and we wouldn't have needed general elections etc. So the focus would have been CV19 much earlier. Corbyn has blood on his hands.

Not to mention the wet markets where wild and endangered animals are stacked up and maltreated ready to be killed for no reason are back open again.

Diversionary tactics again. They don’t work mate. The hospitals are not on their knees due to Corbyn. It is thanks to 10 years of underfunding by the people you go all out to support despite their ineptitude.

You could just as easily say that if David Cameron hadn't thrown the country into its Brexit spin in the first place, Brexit wouldn't have distracted us from this or any other important issue. Or how about Exercise Cygnus. That was in October 2016 and in April 2017 May called a general election. Maybe that was a distraction from looking in detail at the conclusions from the exercise? It was certainly responsible for creating the Brexit power struggles from that point on. I am still of the view that it is far too early to start blaming anyone and that we will only find out what really happened when a proper review is undertaken later. The questions are coming thick and fast from all quarters now though. I am just thankful that I don't live in the US. Liberate Dorset !!

Ian is right on this . Also why is Guardian headline so presumptive it's like a 'when did you stop beating your wife?' wind-up. Why do our modern journalists all lead with brash b*s* headlines with little genuine detail. Personally I'd take a look later at the armies of civil servants and their expensive beknighted leaders and vast number of consultants who have failed to properly support government initiatives, for example numerous infrastructure projects consistently late and overspent. Why are private care homes not criticised when they make £1.5B profit yet fail to protect their staff appropriately? No-one has the overall picture so let's just endure this nightmare and throw stones when when get back to normality.
