I was having a ciggie with one of the directors on Jools after the series had ended.
"So what was your fav band?"

Mastadon. I replied. She said "yeah lots of people said that"

RIP

The BBC deleted all clips from youtube a good few years ago.

I remember that .
Jools hated them 😄.
But it was incredible that a band out of our little scene could even get on a show like that .

So sad reading all the tributes today .

Splendid stuff!

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

This isn't new but I'd never heard it until today. It's very decent . Longtime guitarists Bruce Franklin and Rick Wartell complement each other so well.

Ah man . One of my favourites .
Would strongly recommend self titled and the incredible Manic Frustration albums .
The first 2 albums from the early 80’s Psalm 9 and The Skull are absolute doom metal classics.
So much so that Metallica , who were huge fans, copied their settings and set ups to get the sound on Ride the Lighting that they did .
Complete rip off but it worked.
apologies if you knew that already .

What a band . Eric only passed away a couple of years ago too.
Underrated doesn’t cover it .

I used to hear this song used on MTV used by Blaupunkt who sponsored the 120 Minutes show .
Wondered who it was as it’s a hell of a riff and then bought Trouble ‘Trouble’ and there it was .

Talking about welcome returns, this ensemble jacked it all in in October 2022 but then had second thoughts, returning in 2024. Now, this video of them has just appeared and it's very tasty .

First saw At The Gates as a 16 year old at the Dome in Tufnell Park .

Was a fan ever since . They were different and Tomas was different .
He grew into an incredible frontman .
52 is way too young .
Far too many folk dying recently in the metal scene .
RIP Tomas Lindberg. You’ll be missed

Damn, that is gutting. I saw them roughly ten years ago at Kentish town forum. What a fantastic band. Slaughter of the soul is one of the best metal albums ever imo. Great vocalist too. You knew it was him when you heard him. Unique style.

RIP.

Not everyone will like this new track but I think it's an amazing creation.
