I watched the pre match warm up the other week, something you only see if attending a game.
Cullen and Obafemi were given the ball, pass it forward 10 yards, the ball stopped by the coach, and the striker bangs it in the goal. Usual,warm up,for forward subs.
Cullen scored 30 out of 30.
Obafemt scored 16 out of 30.
So Cullen knows where the goal is.

Cullen has always taken time to adapt and therefore needs a full season of playing at any level as far down as National league. He is a sharp shooters with a tidy over all game . Not particularly fast or strong. He is particularly weak in aerial combat even in the 6 yard box.
I get the impression he does not 'get on the end of things ' in aerial crosses into he box. A loan move would be useful in the sense that his heading game will improve as he will have no choice but to compete if he wants to feature. |  |

Garry Monk was a very successful manager for Swansea and a club hero. I am not an historian but he beat both Manchester Utd and Arsenal home and away in one season. Has any other Swansea manager done that,?
He had the rug pulled from under him when Bony was sold for £28m and he got Eder and Tabanou via Ledbetter the club recruitment chief. He expected better and bit his lip. He could have expected someone like Mitrovic who was under consideration.
This was the time the Chairman was having trouble balancing the books and had to sell Shelvey later. He was asking other shareholder to have a dialogue about new investment.
I see parallels between Monk and Steve Cooper. Both rather dour figures that grind out results with well drilled teams. | |
