Has been the case for years mate, valleys and Merthyr especially, same in Barry when I lived near there. It’s the mahoosive heads in the old third division who can’t accept it.

Our away bus nearly always used to divert to Aberdare to pick up quite a few, next valley to Mountain Ash. Four lads from Mountain Ash have also been season ticket holders in the row next to us at the stadium for years

I'm pretty sure there was always a bus or two from aberdare down to swansea for home games when we were at the vetch.
There is a theory that I've been told that the only reason that more from the valleys don't support swansea is because you can't get a direct train from the valleys to swansea without changing at cardiff? Don't know if it's true but it's a theory I've heard mentioned.

There’s still at least one bus from the area, but support in East Wales has increased dramatically since kids got hold of the Swans in the premier league.
