Players we don’t need next season on 10:02 - Apr 27 by KeithHaynes | Joel L is doing far better but he isn’t the answer for me. |
Nice to see Joel L starting on the right meant Cabango ended up in the centre, Naughton sweeper and Manning left back. Lati looked more comfortable playing forward on the right Defensively needed to work out between himself and Christie how to counter their attack, their full back was overlapping at pace so should Christie have tracked the fullback instead of passing on or did Lati needed to drop off more to pick up the fullbacks run? Rangel used to get tight to the skillful winger and drop off for the speedster. Lack of experience or communication?
Players we don’t need next season on 17:49 - Apr 27 with 1333 views | Lorax | Smith, Bennett, Cullen, Latibeaudiere, Whittaker, Dhanda and Fisher. They can all go and their wages used to fund 4 new signings. I'd rather have Hamer in goal thanks and I'd also rather we stopped that blooming silly gola kick routine.

Who ever is in goal the routines will be dictated by the manager.

In the press conference with Martin after last night, one of his first words were how brave they were. I don’t understand the emphasis he places in so called bravery. Some of the stuff we play is near suicidal and has cost us on several occasions this year. There are more effective ways of doing this than dicing with death every game surely.

Players we don’t need next season on 10:01 - Apr 28 with 1085 views | LittleEnglandJack | I note that (like me for large chunks of the season) everyone appears to have forgotten that Liam Walsh is still a Swansea City player. Admittedly he's been out on loan at Hull for a few months, where yes, you've guessed it, he isn't playing either. If we can find someone to take him, he needs to go this summer. Unfortunately, despite his undoubted talent, the lad is a crock. I went to check his contract length with us, thinking that perhaps we'd just offered him a 1 year deal and he wouldn't be our player next year, and was absolutely astounded to read we'd given him a THREE year deal. For a player who was out injured for almost the entirety of last season and managed just 3 games. Absolutely bonkers.

Fisher, 50/50. needs to start coming for crosses eg Muff first goal. I'm more worried though about the players we want to keep that might get sold. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Opposition managers know we will always give them several good chances because we insist on "being brave" when a massive dose of pragmatism would be much better. I still don't know why its claimed we use wing backs, they can hardly ever get back to defend. Back in the day, Scott Sinclair was regularly further back than our wing backs, he was often on the half way line but he had the pace and skill to get forward and he had a proper defence behind him, not the Keystone cops. Oh well, lets trust the process!

It's OK being brave on times, but absolutely no need when you have got a 3 goal lead, the game should be won and the way we play dhould change then
