Saw him live at the Kentish Town Forum in the early 90s.
Was blown away by just how good the Blockheads were. Phenomenal band, amazing live.
I later found out that Trevor Horn often called them in to Sarm Studios as session musicians.
Still listen to them to this day. I use Hit Me With Your Rythm Stick as a reference track every time I get a new set of headphones. |  |

I watched this last weekend & really enjoyed the documentary. Like Punk, I could take or leave The Blockheads at the time, but I've come to really appreciate them.
They were all very different to the musical heros of my earlier days - Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Ray Davies, Carly Simon, Carol King (not when co writing with Gerry Goffin!) I've realised that there are many genres of music (even if I can't recognise the genre) that I can enjoy. | | | |

Even as a very young kid going around in my mum's car with the radio locked on Capital (back when it was good) I remember hearing Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick and it was like nothing else, I was mesmerised by it. Still one of my favourite tunes. |  |
