Southampton V Aston Villa The Verdict on 09:58 - Apr 14 with 769 views | felly1 | Regarding where Taylor is , Rusk said pre match that's injured. Unbeknown to us Onuachu had an ankle njury pre match as well which probably contributed to his poor first half. We actually looked even worse when he went off as the team plays better with a target man. Sulemana had no support and lost possession alot but at least he tried to push forwards and get involved . Villa were miles better than us and getting to half time nil nil felt like a minor victory which sums up how terrible this season has been. Only players who left the pitch with any real credit were Ramsdale, Fernandes and Stephens .

Rusk had mentioned that Onuachu was doubtful in his press conference and also Taylor, so I was surprised when Tall Paul started but not that Taylor was no where to be seen.

Southampton V Aston Villa The Verdict on 10:19 - Apr 14 with 715 views | IanSouthstander | As always Nick, your optimism is to be admired. However, i would say your comment that at least three players who started saturday should not start this week, ought to be changed to only three players who started last week deserve to start this week. I give you Ramsdale, Walker-Peters and Fernandes. Sadly all three will be out the door in the summer.
Southampton V Aston Villa The Verdict on 10:30 - Apr 14 with 680 views | felly1 | A common theme this season has been the opposition bring on subs who make a positive impact , whilst we've consistently looked worse when we bring on ours. Saturdays game was a perfect example of this.

I just cant see us getting a point let alone 2. Rusks plan seems to be stick as many as possible behind the ball and hopefully get apoint.

The three CB's policy does my head in. Pretty much everyone in the Prem plays with one striker. You do not need three CB's to mark one striker; if anything it means they all leave it to each other. You need more bodies in midfield to get control of the ball and push up the pitch. Sigh.

Yes because if we don't park the bus, we are 3 nil down inside 20 minutes. It's an absolute nightmare for any manager, trying to get a result with terrible players.
