I doubt it will happen, despite already being on a warning, but a points deduction of some kind could make it an interesting run-in for them :-)

They certainly have previous when it comes to throwing things onto the pitch or at players, fans and officials. There were a couple of instances against Barnsley (linesman). That 'fan' punched a kicked a Sunderland player on a live Sky game about 5 or 6 years ago and to top it all, 1 of their 'fans' threw a flare into the Sunderland fans below them at the Stadium of Light.

After our FA Cup win at their place in 1984, even Lawrie McMenemy joked about leaving Fratton with a few pounds of bananas and a few quid in loose change. :-)

You're right Tim with a history of incidents like that then perhaps a points deduction isn't right.

I think the only solution is to fold the club and turn Fratton into a Tesco

Have been lucky enough to go to the last few derby games at Fratton.

One incident I remember which typifies their absolute brainlessness was when we drew 1-1 there in the season we got promoted from the Championship first time round (2012?).

We went 1-0 up in the second-half.

About 10 minutes later, Danny Fox went to collect the ball to take a throw-in, and one of their fans decided to chuck the ball 30 yards away, wasting about 30 seconds of time which we were more than happy to waste.

Sadly we didn't hang on to the lead, not through any intelligence of their fans though.

Definitely worth a 10 point deduction!
