Knew as soon as he came on the Swansea reference would be made.

And that's exactly why we want him on board 👏👍👏

The importance of this announcement is unclear and depends on whether Mr Modric wants to be highly active director driving the club forward with ideas and suggestions or simply a passive investor content to leave it to the existing board and Sheehan.

Will he actually come to Swansea and talk to the relevant staff in the close season. Will he attend board meeting if only by Zoom?

All that, and will his association with SCFC help recruiting efforts in this next transfer/loan window.

I realize that has much much much more to do with an ability and willingness to spend, but this could help nudge a few close calls our way a little I hope.

I expect it to be mainly profile elevation through social media and similar opportunities. He has over 30 million followers, little things like after we win he posts "another good win for my team Swansea City today" will bring us to the attention of millions throughout the world. Profile is everything if we are to improve our commercial and advertising revenue. We have already had a TV mention during the Real Madrid v Arsenal game last night.

Well I would imagine that the board will have him at the stadium to greet potential signings and share his vision. Otherwise it’s a trick missed but I’m sure that won’t be the case.

Be brilliant but tbh even if he just takes time out to talk to people as needed by Zoom would be great.
Also as regards board meetings etc, even if he is taking part by Zoom etc so what?
It is the modern way now.
On the Wrexham documentary, you would often see the owners talking to each by Zoom ?
Teleconferencing and videoconferencing has been an accepted part of business) especially during and after covid ) and has grown
If it gets Modric involved at some level then it can only be welcomed
