- will his family be up for it ?
- can we match what Forest would accept if there is no-one else to outbid us ?
- of the relegated sides I could only see Ipswich going in for him
- of the teams likely getting promotion, he would be good enough for all of them imo

Let's say we'd have been able to afford 20k a week anyway and he wants somewhere in the region of what he's on now (40k) that's an additional 1.04m a year so we'd have enough in the coffers for the next two years. 4 year contract, let's be honest, if we're not promoted in the next two years he's likely to attract bigger clubs including those in the premiership so we'd likely sell him on for a fairly decent profit after 2 years anyway.
We'd need to agree a deal with NF. Given he's on his last year and they want him off the books we could get a cut price deal, especially if we add incentives on such as promotion bonuses or sell on %.
