Welsh Independence Barry 17:45 - Apr 27 with 2069 views | CwmafanJack | 6-7000 is the official number that was said to be there. With a few recent polls in the 30 and 40% range is independence becoming a genuine answer to wales problems? Could politics in wales be about to polarise into plaid on one side vs reform on the other in a pro and anti independence issue? Interesting times

There won't be a march in favour of the union because when the majority in favour of it is so overwhelming nobody feels the need to march, protest marches are for minorities.

Let’s not be even dafter than you already are here eh? Why on earth would there be a march for the union i.e. the status quo when it is not under any threat. Marches or rallies are for people who wish to alter the status quo. You say some daft things but that one takes the biscuit! And as for the 41%, dream on. You’re going to have to come to terms with this, it’s not going to happen in your lifetime, if ever, regardless of how young or old you are.

First line...too late. This Nation Cymru poll, who did they ask, how many did they ask and how many don';t knows were there because in Sept 24 it was 24% supporting indy with 61% against and that leaves 15% of don't know or other. Saying it's 41% now is disingenuous claptrap.
Welsh Independence Barry on 19:14 - Apr 28 with 810 views | felixstowe_jack | Does that mean that the over 3 million who were not there for the March do not support independence? All large polls consistently have results that only 20% of Welsh voters support independence. It is very strange that the same people who support independence from the United Kingdom also support surrending independence to the non democratic EU. No credible plan on how was would afford independence without the huge sums of money it receives from the government.

Wales would join the EU just like every other European nation does. Same basis. Ireland and Scotland will do the same, of course. England will be the outlier, although be heavily aligned under Starmer. Stanley Johnson, no less, called for this earlier today. You just dont like what the Poll says. Its the same as any other professional poll. No more no less. Maybe you should argue with this guy, not me …. 🏴

Twp is a bit of a fun term that welsh people use about each other. Most don't take offence. Most don’t mean offence. Were you a prefect in a posh english school or something ? Is telling off somebody for always sitting on the fence, a cause for offence ? In which case i would, of course, apologise to you.

Twp means stupid, it's not hard to understand but if you think a personal insult to be a bit of fun I guess it shows what kind of person you are. As for the rest

I just checked on AI … ‘In the context of Swansea University Students' Union slang, "twp" can be considered a fun term. It's used as a lighthearted way to describe someone who is acting silly or foolish, often in a playful or affectionate way. It's not meant to be a derogatory term, but rather a humorous observation’ …. You might want to sit this one out butt, on your own familiar fence of course …. 🏴

Oh so AI says it's ok, it must eb afact then. maybe I'll take the Oxford English dictionary version, Welsh English (southern). 1925– Stupid, idiotic. Also occasionally (and in earliest use) as n.(with the and plural agreement): stupid people considered collectively. I really wasn't aware that Swansea uni students could decide what the Welsh language meant, any port in a storm for you eh. Do you think the fence thing irritates me by the way? It doesn't, it just raises a smile because you have nothing solid to throw at me so resort to silliness. Douglas Bader had more leg to stand on than you.

AI is right, we all know ‘twp’ is tongue in cheek language. All apart from you, obviously …. If you got off the fence a bit more and mixed with other welsh people then you might think differently. Btw swansea students have just as much right to comment on this matter as you do.

You don't like the result of the referendum. Wales voted to leave the EU . Time you accepted the will of the majority rather thsn push an idea that only 20% of Wales support. The other 80% wish to remain part of the UK. Can you just answer ONE question for a change. Why would Wales vote to leave the democratic UK and then surrender thier sovereignty to the undemocratic EU? There are 44 countries in Europe only 27 of them are in the EU not all as you claim.

To paraphrase a Jack Nicholson character, don't bother telling Kilky the truth, he can't handle the truth. He'll come back at you with an alternative fact that represents his truth, which of course is different to the real truth.
