Police officer cleared in Kaba criminal case to face internal misconduct hearing 11:23 - Apr 30 with 264 views | AnotherJohn | The IOPC has decided that Sgt Martyn Blake will go before a disciplinary panel to consider a charge of gross misconduct in relation to the Kaba case. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/other/met-firearms-officer-cleared-of-murdering-c I am not usually moved to anger by official decisions, but this one seems to combine an injustice, with little thought of the consequences for the morale of Met firearms officers, Amanda Rowe, Director of the IOPC, mentions "the significant public interest in this case, particularly among our black communities, firearms officers and the wider policing community", and there is little doubt in my mind that the reaction of a certain community has been a huge factor in this. Although, I know it won't do much good I shall be writing to my MP, and anybody else I can think of, to express my unhappiness, and urge others to do the same. [Post edited 30 Apr 17:23]

Police officer cleared in Kaba criminal case to face internal misconduct hearing on 12:44 - Apr 30 with 208 views | Joesus_Of_Narbereth | If a known criminal is resisting arrest and is using their car as a weapon to attempt to hurt or kill police officers and present a risk to the public at large then the police are absolutely justified in putting a bullet between the eyes. It really is that simple.

UK police ars normally unarmed. Many deaths associated with gun crime are innocent bystanders it seems to me often female. If I was a black commentator I would thank the police. I have a deep respect for (say for example) Wayne Routledge but if he started behaving like Kabba I would hav no sympathy for him whatsoever (highly hypothetical comparison) . Black communities identify with Kaba and support him as he is " one of their own". It is not logical but it happens. My example is how would I look at if "one of our own " did such things. WR is a hero of mine so used it as an hypothetical example. I would not give him any slack at all. He would never behave like this of course. [Post edited 30 Apr 19:49]

Police officer cleared in Kaba criminal case to face internal misconduct hearing on 14:32 - Apr 30 with 139 views | Boundy | As an aside to this story the British Army at present is losing 200 upwards a week ,this due to a myriad of reasons but one is the threat of not being protected by the state when soldiers cause the death of civilians during a conflict . It seems to me that those who've never been in situations when a life or death decision has to be made are the ones to shout the loudest.
