Sam Field can’t trap a football and that’s why people start threads about him playing at CB, or managers have played him in advanced midfield positions. We all love Sam and want him out there, but he makes us static playing in DM. The prime suspect when it comes to playing it back to the defence, as he has no confident command of the ball. Personally I don't see why any players length of contract, salary, bonuses, add on's etc should be divulged.
What right so we have to know this? I pay more money (by a long way) to the likes of Sainsbury's and Tesco's each year but I don't insist/demand etc to know the in's and out's of the staffs salary details.
I know football is a different beast to more 'normal' businesses but there is a line IMO.

I don't know about you, but I don't support a supermarket. I shop around here and there and tend not to be interested in their results or how much their top execs earn. It wouldn't bother me if any of them went bust because I could go somewhere else. |  |

Big season ahead for Varane. Clubs are looking at him, and I guess it's been agreed that next summer (if his upward trajectory continues), we'll cash in. So he'll be well motivated, and I think he'll do well. Right now he's probably our biggest asset.
Those cheeky bids this summer were probably too low, and came from un-inspiring teams not enough to force a move just yet. |

Hopefully they have identified a possible replacement to quickly plug that gap because as you say we are already deficient there. If it is not too unrealistic I hope they can find someone who already knows how to receive a ball on the half turn and pass forwards, yet also have the ability to tackle. Maybe we just can't get someone on our budgets, but oh for a modern day John Gregory. | | | |
