In hospital awaiting open heart surgery. Hope he comes through okay, known him for absolute years, more through him managing the LSA team later to become the Suffolk punch. Whenever I stood near him in an away end and the ref was having a shocker he’d always turn to me and say “he’s worse than fúcking you” !
favourite cheese mature Cheddar. FFS there is no such thing as the EPL
I saw a fb post from his daughter that he had his op on Thursday and is doing well. She said that they only wanted close friends and family to visit him in hospital at the minute. I tried to find the post this morning, but I couldn’t,so that’s only what I remember reading.

Haven't seen Vic in years... back in the early 80s use to drink with him in the Mancinis pub on Hammersmith the Golden Gloves... a Fulham pub but had many a great night in there... the semi final win over WBA in there was a night of legends
Hope he gets better a great guy.... 👍
In the 1980s Vic worked for Seymour Security (or was it See more?) at Hammersmith Odeon so the Gloves would have been the logical boozer for him.
Get well soon Vic. It's tough to believe that the likes of Trevor and Peter Kingham are now long gone. The years speed by.......
Wishing vic all the best in his recovery. I first encountered vic standing in the loft in the 70s. I’d been attending games since before that and vic had been going longer than me. Fast forward to the late eighties and I worked on a play scheme at Distillery lane adventure playground where Lawrence and leanne his son and daughter went. It was only when he came to the playground that I worked out who their dad was. I also ended up working with his eldest daughter in Kensington and Chelsea for a few years. I’ve had many lsa coach trips some with my late dad Tom and vic is a permanent fixture on these patrolling the gangway and giving people a piece of his mind. The now always.
