given the incident in the last couple of hours, I think that the great Bill Shankley's quip 'that football is more important than 'life and death' can be seen to be off the mark. of course we live in different times now, but it football needs to be seen in context.

Seen several.videos. It's a truly horrendous situation. Hope there's no fatalities.

Some distressing scenes. Just hope and pray that there aren’t too many people seriously injured.
Without being too “woke” though is it time perhaps to consider limiting these winning parades?
Are our towns and cities able to cope with up to half a million people visiting all at once?
There were a couple of pretty serious injuries following the one in Leeds the other Monday.
