Only caught the first half of Leinster v Scarlets but a quick dig around of the player profiles of Ireland / Leinster players selected for The Lions tour this Summer must raise the question of eligability to qualify for selection , A lot of Southern Hemesphere influence there .

Its totally wrong in my opinion Robbie, it should be players who were born in the British isles including Ireland of course.

Absolutely. The whole tournament is diluted due to this back door eligibility. I don’t agree with residency eligibility for national side selection but The Lions should be sacrosanct.

Scotland, Ireland and England for that matter if they stopped the residency eligibility, Wales did it back in the day as well.

I've always looked forward to the Lions Tour, but I'm not really bothered with this one, lets hope the Welsh lads get their act together for the Lions tour of New Zealand, I'll be retired then so I'm gonna look into going.
