This way they damage Hamas and Netenyahu keeps his forever war and avoids going to jail.

It's not just Netanyahu who wants a "forever war" because Hamas are hardly a peace loving bunch either. it seems quite simple to me, either they will both stop OR neither of them will stop and there is an inevitable outcome there that will only rile up some Muslim countries and possibly provoke an international crisis as well as Netanyahu being decalred a war criminal by all and sundry. Israel and her leaders cannot keep doing these totally unacceptable things and hope that events in 1940's Germany give them a get out clause. The Holocaust happened but it is not a cover all bases excuse to commit war crimes. Oct 7th happened but it does not justify this. Even in saying that, why does Hamas still have hostages? How many of their own people have to die before Hamas sees sense? AND, why do the people of Gaza allow Hamas to use them as human shields?

I thought it was the otherway around and it is Israel that uses Palestinians as human shields, tied to tanks and military vehicles, walk in front of advancing troops at the point of a gun, walk in front of troops at the point of a gun if they suspect mines and the like. I thought Gaza was so densely populated being just a narrow strip of land that where ever militant Hamas are that some people or public buildings bound to be close by and its just Israel saying otherwise playing their games.

As I have said, BOTH sides need to stop. Hamas are not an innocent party who get civilains killed by accident and Israel are committing war crimes too. Denying what Hamas are doing just makes you suspect. There are very few innocent parties in Gaza, besides the civilians who are paying a heavy price. Defending Hamas is as despicable as anyone absolving Israel of blame.
Israel arming gangsters on 18:49 - Jun 7 with 301 views | trampie | The last time they had elections in Gaza, Hamas won. Hamas was said to have been initially backed by Israel to try and weaken the PLO, the people voted for Hamas because they thought too many PLO leaders and officials were bought and working for Israel. Israel play lots of games, initially backing Hamas to divide the Palestinians has backfired. [Post edited 7 Jun 18:54]

It does seem odd that no other Middle Eastern country has ever really taken serious action against Israel for the alleged mistreatment of Palestinians. Against Israel itself for existing (including various territorial disputes), but not because anything that's ever happened in Gaza or the West Bank.

Ahmed Yassin founded Hamas. Former Israeli officials have openly acknowledged Israel's role in providing funding and assistance to Yassin's network as a means of undermining the secular, left-wing Palestinian factions that made up the PLO. Yes it has backfired in the long run. When were the last free and open elections? slate.com/news-and-politics/2023/10/was-hamas-elected-to-govern-gaza-george-w-bush-2006-palestinian-election.html Hamas hasn't allowed an election since 2006, 19 years, these are the people you are defending, they rule becaue they deny democracy and thy took full power by force. murdering Fatah members to take control. In fact, as it says in that web address, around 50% of Gazans weren't even born when Hamas took power. Now then, what is the relevance of what happened in the 80's to your defence of Hamas today? Hamas are murderers, terrorists yet you seem inclined to want to blame Israel for everything.

Everything I say is always correct isn't Cat, I know I say things that the board might not know because mainstream media are biased and most people get their info from them, you see what I say and check it out and it always checks out doesn't Cat. As regards Hamas I have no love for them but I have been horrified for decades what Israel has done to the Palestinians, way way before Oct 7th, I don't agree with what Hamas did but Oct 7th wasn't the start of it, it started decades before, just like the English led UK state in the North of Ireland if you treat the indigenous people as second class citizens in their own country then they will fight back.
