Both Phil Sumbler and I were given a huge leg up during our early writing careers by Paul. He has only ever been approachable and helpful. He published numerous one and two page features on our early books for those that remember Wales on Sunday. We go back some years. And still chat today.
Yes, of course we can understand the animosity at times between those that follow the Swans and Cardiff, but some of it directed to Paul is shocking. It’s a Swansea v Cardiff thing, and indeed the same can be said for Lee Trundle who has a remarkable style on social media which clearly opens him up for responses. You can have your own views of course, but keep them clean, nobody who has been helped in life needs to be drawn into a social media war. And all because he openly follows another team.

It’s interesting to hear peoples opinions. Rob Phillips once told me as the BBC van was being shaken at the back of the NB, ‘I’m not a bloody Cardiff fan’

The Trundle /Tate flag issue was a bit stupid and silly , emotions by the players were high and maybe they got out by the occasion , it happened and left as a bad error by them .

All in Jason Mohammed phone in on Radio Wales is appeased by his ability to take a tough subject and waffle over any real answers.
He did have some nobody WAG Ministers whoever they were on his on air broadcasts for a while though , they seem have to done a runner and said no more of this nonsense .
