I do not fully understand what is going on.
a) The boat crossings are a very hot issue which could bring down the government
b) Uk is paying the French to stop the boats and stop crimes going ahead.
c) UK is saying smash the gangs while the French just observe the smuggling "for legal reasons ". Parents putting children into leaking boats should not be allowed in Europe.
d) When Covid struck HMG went into overdrive knocking up temporary places for patients in a matter of weeks.
