Police State ? 17:43 - Jun 29 with 1983 views | trampie | Only recently hearing about this because the mainstream media apparently havent been reporting it that for the last year or so Independent investigative journalists are being raided by the authorities who look like they are trying to pin terror related charges on them, very worrying for our democracy and freedom of speech if true. Mainstream journalists are an extension of the state and in the main report what the state is happy for them to report but independent investigative journalists that might research things the powers that be don't like seem to be getting targeted, echos of 1930s Germany. Police State ? on 17:50 - Jul 6 by KeithHaynes | This govt is deciding what happens, the police are the services that implement their desire. It’s always been that way. The home office once prescribed Spiral Tribe and Bedlam (Castlemorton illegal raves 1989 to 1993 as a big a danger to the UK as the IRA. Down to the illegal activity that went on within, before and after the raves. Suits will always decide the fate, the people can change it but looking around the UK atm, the only people on the streets are crazy alcoholics in groups outside some closed down dept store huddled up drinking whatever it is with dodgy fentanyl substitute (the original is also dodgy 😂) There is no desire to change as the poll tax riots proved, that was an historical event eventually replaced by another name in govt tax. A long term friend who was extremely left wing in the 80’s antifa ( not the bellends knocking about today) said to me recently. Why should we take to the streets and fight for change when it’s all going to go to the Muslims. People are giving up. And as I’ve always said, there is no left or right these days, it’s just a balance of the big two political parties and extremists on either side of it who employ the same tactics. They may as well be old extreme left or extreme right. There’s no difference between any of them. Pointless being bothered about it really, control and care for what you can for the people you take care of and are close to you. Sad ethic to some but these days why not ? I see nobody of any strength to change anything. |
Exactly the police implement what the government decides, a lot of donuts might not realise that.

Police State ? on 17:06 - Jul 6 by trampie | Oh no, I was wondering why you was asking as I thought it was obvious, the group I was referring to that was discriminated against out there at one time was the Catholics. |
No, the point is you always make vague statements and usually don't include links to claims you make. People know all about the problems and the civil rights arguments that led to"the troubles" and it's still a complicated situation today. It's just that most people have had enough of the violence. There are still factions that would start the fighting again if there was enough support, but there isn't and long may that last. This was January last year, not sure of the situation today. isdglobal.org/explainers/northern-ireland-related-terrorism/

Police State ? on 16:20 - Jul 6 by trampie | The group that had less housing opportunities, fewer job opportunities and gerrymandering of electoral boundaries against them. |
The one who had dual citizenship, freedom off movement anywhere in the EU but preferred to live on UK handouts and blow up women, children other civilians and execute captured soldiers and policemen. Funny how they did not want to move to the paradise of the ROI.

Why should they move for their rights? They all seem to have come to accomodation but even now struggle to run their own affairs without UK intervention. Is Stormont back open. Looks as it is. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-67726389.amp [Post edited 7 Jul 17:45]

They should not have to move from their land to get their civil rights and as a point of order dual citizenship did not happen until 1998 (Good Friday agreement) and the UK and the Republic did not join the EU until 1973. [Post edited 7 Jul 18:11]
