Bob Vylan 18:12 - Jun 30 with 2325 views | KeithHaynes | Never liked him as a person, an attention seeking prat. Played with them at the Blackpool Rebellion Festival. Scummy arrogance. Irrespective of what he has said he had a huge sign on stage at Glastonbury stating ‘Eat The Rich’ Not bad for a bloke who gets an average of £12k per festival show and was paid £32k for his appearance at Glastonbury. Pillock.

Bob Vylan on 17:29 - Jul 1 by JACKMANANDBOY | It's the unchecked bile and hatred that leads to violence and conflict. We in the UK know better than to chant Death, Death and we know where that leads. |
The cause of violence in Ukraine and Palestine is adjacent people stealing their land with very dubious historic justifications. When the settlements stop so will the violence. It is very simple. Both Russia and Israel state the nations they are stealing from do not exist.

Re Rod Stewart, I only saw a brief snippet, but have noticed a few FB posts saying he did well. On the other hand, several said he shouldn't have been there because of his politics. It looks as though inclusiveness only goes so far for many who shout loudly about it in other contexts. [Post edited 2 Jul 7:43]

The bottom line is Glastonbury is a left leaning festival. In some areas of the festival far left. It is still owned and run by the same man / family who is a former miner, trade unionist, Labour party candidate, corbynite and subsequently a green party supporter. They've had links to CND and the new age traveller movement for around 40 years. That's the crowd the festival attracts - even among the more recent and younger crowd. People will whinge about Rod's politics because his recent comments are polar opposite to the ethos of the festival. That's not to support Vylan who should be prosecuted in the same way as Kneecap are being. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

This is a dream ticket for Glastonbury. They apologise profusely to the suits and give a bonus to the Vylan fellow. It is in danger a of being a bit posh middle class and stale. Step up Vylan "fantastic". Even US Government reacted. No laws broken. Siding with brutally oppressed people no law broken due to Vylans discipline. A court case rto come when the BRITISH Government will be on trial not Bob. Bring it on says Glastonbury who can even help out Bob with a few bob. Remember Woodstock.

So good you said it twice, a criminal investigation has been launched so let's hang fire before it's established whether a law has been broken.

I can think of at least one law broken , similar to the red garbed fool on the steps of the Senendd with a loud hailer, not the sharpest in the box of chisels . If the cap fits I suppose.

South Wales police do not go after red garbed people espousing ethnic hatred as we saw with the Bristol city supporters. In this case the citizens of Wales were innocent of any provocation. They will prosecute on ethnic hate charges if they themselves or security people are abused. Welsh grannies? Not unless they complain and are prepared to go to court.

Apparently the same idiot who made an arse out of himself in Egypt. A local boy apparently. Both a "peaceful person" and a "pacifist"...

I thought it was an interesting comparison. He ad the SWP arrested anyone today I would have accused them of inconsistency and protecting foreign highly viscous military organisations over our splendid elderly Welsh shoppers and drinkers in Wetherspoons.. The spin off from the reaction of Israeli settlers affects all of us now and it is not our problem. It is time to solve the problem. UK people have lost patience and it is going to get worse.

Reading some of the comments made me realise that I'm quite normal .I know Doctors take the Hippocratic oath but I don't know if something similar is required by nurses. I wouldn't want to declare my faith to the likes of him ,might never recover.

If he's a nurse then there's a fair chance that he's earning a fair chunk, if not all, of his wage from Central Government and there are probably rules in his terms of service about how to conduct himself when not on duty. I wonder if he's sticking to them if that is the case.

It is fair to say that as a nurse he would be treating injured or dying people irrespective of race religion age etc. He would likely be quite angry and not being allowed to do his vocation. His anger for me is understandable.. The situation is n Gaza is reported as gruesome. UK is badly out of touch and the population is getting very angry. This was evident at Glastonbury. These are exceptional circumstances leading to real anger and over emotional rhetoric. IDF have form as with the Shaba and Shatila massacre of 1982 before th nurse was born.
