Club staff in everyday roles 17:57 - Jul 3 with 1084 viewsJoiedevivre

A lot of the hurt of the last relegation - known from now, due to their regular occurrence, as the last last relegation - was felt in everyday club staffers losing their jobs.

Did the club expand staffing upon promotion in 2024, and are these workers now in fear for their jobs? I feel we never hear much about the non-player changes caused by the w-anchors’ failures.

Got a feeling I remember Parsons saying before the start of last season that they weren’t going to employ loads more staff now they were back in the PL again but were going to be more lean & efficient. There will obviously have been a few people taken on in key areas that will have been busier last season like corporate hospitality and perhaps mail order if there was an increase in demand for merchandise but if my recollection is correct then I think the cull will be minimal.
Of course, I could be mistaken…

It’s pay freezes, cuts to pay of freelance and casual workers and not replacing stuff that leave this time round.

I know a lot were very worried about their jobs mid season but to quote pulp “something changed”
