A sad story 18:37 - Jul 21 with 1468 views | stowmarketrange | My father-in-law was taken into hospital by ambulance this afternoon with a chest infection, and while we were sitting waiting for our turn to be delivered to the A&E department from the ambulance I got chatting to the paramedics. They said that one of their jobs today involved a cardiac arrest on a 42 year old man,who sadly didn’t make it,despite them working on him for 40 minutes. But even worse was his 16 year old daughter witnessed the whole episode. Obviously I don’t know the poor man’s circumstances, but 42 is really no age at all. I guess the saying about making the most of every day has never felt more poignant after hearing about this today. Take care everyone and best wishes to you all.

Collapsed in the doctors waiting room, died in the hospital later, massive heart attack. 40 years later it still affects her.

I guess most of us are guilty of taking life for granted. Many thanks indeed to our paramedics, Dr's and nurses. Hopefully one Government soon will give them an NHS really worth working for.

Paramedics are amazing - a lot of them that work from Charing X hospital here in Hammersmith are young ladies. The NHS seems to be full of great people but badly managed.
