"The Championship club have still not given up hope of signing Oli McBurnie, having agreed in principle a contract with the Scotland international, but that deal has not yet been given the green light by the EFL."

"I would like to have Oli McBurnie," City's boss told Hull Live. "He would bring everything that we need - leadership, experience, and he knows the Championship. Plus goals. I hope the goals; we need goals. I believe, yes (we can get it done). I believe that the EFL will help us."

Alan Nixon has written today ...

" Hull managed to beat the Swans to the signing of the Scot, despite offering inferior terms in comparison to his former employers."

"Nixon suggests that to beat Swansea to the signing of McBurnie, the player himself actually turned down a bigger contract offer from his former club to instead begin a new chapter at the MKM Stadium."

"The Welsh side reportedly offered their former striker a 'huge deal', which included significant promotion bonuses. However, McBurnie instead chose to join Hull, despite major restrictions on what terms they could offer him.

"Interestingly, Nixon also reported that another former club of McBurnie, Sheffield United, had also tabled an offer to bring him back to Bramall Lane, but this was said to be just a two-year deal on less money than he's earning at Hull."

In a recent interview, Sheehan said he had spoken to McBurnie and that he understood his reason to wanting to go to Hull so there may be quite a bit of truth in that report.

No mate, I didn’t mean that at all.
The way sometimes the story has to be that a player is not coming, when they are, so as not to scupper the transfer.
It had me puddled, that Imy mind was then seeing it in every story and until I didn’t know whether I was coming or going , that’s all.
I read every report you guys do. They are quality 🙏🙏🙏
