I listen to Angela Eagle, A Government Minister today say on the Today Programme that the Government had returned over 30,000 migrants this year.
I looked up the Governments own figures. Forced returns are about 9,000 and voluntary leavers are around 25,000.
Now these 25,000 are classified as either subject to removal action or immigration control, the latter means they had visas. These people left on their own accord.

I haven’t heard the interview and your OP said that the govern had returned 30,000 people, which according to the link is factually correct.

I go on holiday a few times and I have returned and I guess I go through the customs bit so I guess that the government is returning me as much as I would like to stay. |  |

Try reading the link two posts up. Despite your protestations many returns have no Government involvement.
You'll see the Sunak has to correct the record in the Houses of Parliament when he made similar claims!
The Government has no knowledge of some of these people until after they have left the country! Indeed it is only after they check the visa data that they know they have left the country!
