And our problem as to who should be our 'keeper is laid out by simmo.

If Walsh had been in goal I have doubts that we would have led 2-0 at half time, but I also doubt that we would have conceded those three goals with him in goal.

I think Nardi is the better shot saver & Walsh the better at controlling the penalty area. Selection depends on which you think is the most desirable.


Good points Terry. Just one thought: it's my impression that we don't stop many crosses coming through compared to other teams but we're better at blocking shots/intercepting balls coming in from midfield. So we might need more of a Walsh-type cross interceptor than a Nardi-type shot stopper. Just an impression though. I have no facts to support it.
