Anyone been? Went Saturday night what an awesome experience.

Well worth it if you are looking for something to do in the capital.

Quite a reasonable jazz scene in Swansea, although I expect UJ probably knows if he made the effort to go to Ronnie Scott's. Trunk of Funk tonight at Noah's Yard.

It was Penc who went not me but I do know the jazz scene used to be good. It was at St James Crescent at one time turn down the old New Yorker pub I believe.

I saw Ellla Fitzgerald perform there - a once in a lifetime experience.

Bizarrely I’m not big into Jazz but we were with people who were.

The singer wasn’t full on Jazz but it was a very good evening.

In answer to expensive £45 a ticket & £6 a pint which for the capital is not too bad 👍

Dave Cottle is still the secretary of Swansea Jazz Club, which is now in CUs in Newton Road, Mumbles (in the arcade just before you get to the turning to the castle). It moved from the Garage in Uplands about a year ago, and yes, many years ago it was in St James' Crescent. However, there are also regular jazz sessions in such places as Noah's Yard, (Uplands) Altitude 28 (Marina), Gin and Juice (Mumbles) and Elysium (High St).

In case anybody wants to learn more look here:

Swansea jazz festival is coming up soon as well in various venues (see details in link)
