Ronald hits the winner but Galbraith is the engine room as the Swans beat the Bl on 20:14 - Aug 16 with 1441 views | GVJack | Galbraith was everywhere. He seemed to get better as the game went on too. Brilliant engine. Yalcouye looks a real handful too he'll find lots of space with his turn and pace. Eom has lovely control out in the left, but his end product is missing. He has no power in his shots so not likely to trouble defences unless he's running into the box. I think he's going to end up being nudged out of the starting XI in the next couple of matches. I desperately want Cullen to do well, but being a local boy who gives his all for the cause may not be enough, can never question his commitment but just don't think he's got the quality at this level, certainly not as a striker. Despite not really putting our foot down on the throats of Sheffield and taking full control of the game I thought we deserved to win the game. We were very lucky though not to give the late penalty away, I was in direct line with the incident and it looked like a clear push in the back to me. That be in g said... I am due an eye-test shortly!!

My take on the penalty claim was that the attacker seeing that Key had the forward momentum stepped across him giving key no other option than to barge into him and the ref being directly in line with him saw this too.

I totally agree about Cullen as a forward. We all agree on that. But on a few occasions he dropped back to his more suitable 10 position and put through some lovely, quick, first time passes that always make something happen. He does see things quickly and often doesn't need to take a first touch.

I think we all agree that cullen isn't a striker, the only reason he is starting up front is because vip is that bad, it shows how bad he is when he didnt even get on the pitch at all on Saturday. As soon as we get this striker cullen can drop into that no10 role and we will see more of those clever movements and touches. Atm its good to know know we have these young hungry midfielders looking to get forward, yes we do miss having a bit of experience in there but franco has grown up and imo we have galbraith who leading by example, so we dont really need that older head, they recall bouncing off each other.

Agree with that I thought there was a footballer in VIP somewhere I accept now there isn't one of any quality All the approach work comes to nowt unless we get a striker to bury the ball into the net

Exactly. In an ideal world I would like two forwards in and Vipotnik out, but I can't see it happening. One in and Vipotnik out with Cullen and Wales as back up would still be a massive improvement.

Yep, vip out and 2 in but having wales gives us more options.

I was the same as you regarding VIP. Given up hope now. He seems to have a total lack of confidence | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Swap confidence for tactical awareness. A definition of tactical awareness sums it up for me. Tactical awareness refers to a player's ability to understand and execute the strategies and tactics required for their position and the team's overall game plan. Improving your tactical awareness can make a significant difference in your performance and help you stand out on the field.

Can’t argue with that analysis and he’s obviously the same in training. The manager and his team have had long enough to asses him now to make a judgement. I still hope they can get a tune out of him but it’s looking unlikely. He’s not good enough for the Championship.

Serious question on Vipotnik, even though I’ve been criticising him for a long time… Would he improve as an understudy to a good striker? He’s useless most of the time, but that’s mainly down to the game being played out quicker than he can process it. He has shown glimpses of quality, just not very often. I know he must be coached relentlessly, but there hasn’t been a genuine centre forward at the club during his time here. How much would he improve by training day in day out with a Piroe, watching how and when they make their runs, how they interact with teammates etc? Or is he just a lost cause?
