The chances that Stephan or Cifuentes knew much/anything about the players we've signed since summer 2024 is very remote. This especially applies to Stephan.
Picks the Team -
I also doubr that he goes to the head coach & says x must play, or y must play. What I don't doubt is that he would go to the head coach & say that we need x to play so that we can increase his valuation.
Decides the Team tactics -
As Nourry has himself stated (numerous times) that the whole of the club has been set up to play to a set system (allowing for minor adjustments), what part of this do you dispute?
Has any input into the Teams dead ball situations -
I'm sure Nourry doesn't, but the dead ball coach reports to him rather than Stephan. My doubt is that Stephan has any say in the matter & that the routines are practised without his input. This is conjecture as I don't know this, but it appears to be the normal practice at clubs.

I expect he adheres to what was agreed between himself & the club at his interview. In my view that would mean being in general control of the coaching & team selection as specified. | | | |

The seminal moment for me was the Plymouth game. That team can only have been picked on a directive from high. No manager/first team coach would have sent that team out there. So there’s a 100% sign of interference. Binned off that cup by playing a youth team, most of whom will never see the first team. Pissed off the many loyal away fans, who go to Watford knowing that almost all senior players were rested and we’d be raring to go. Except we weren’t and were an absolute shower of sh1t. |  | | |

He has appointed himself as a 'sporting ceo'. I would think that he would be present at games and maybe training as part of his director of football remit. See how players are training, developing to understand what is needed. Not defending him but I do also think if he was never present people would be saying he should be there to see what's going on |
