Not sure about the cheating bit to be fair….

Good to get the first win at the new ground out of the way anyway.

How much did you sell your woman’s football team to yourself for? Or what about the shady dealings you did with villa?

I think they sold the women’s team for around 75 million, perfectly within the rules.

As for the dodgy deals with Villa, they sold each other a promising player for 10 million. Dobbin’s market rate was around 10 million, he’d played and scored for Everton in the prem and is now on loan at Preston. Tim Iroegbunam has played many times for Everton in the prem including starting yesterday and is worth considerably more than 10 million.

Cheating would imply that Everton got away with something. As the only club that’s been battered by PSR in terms of punishment and restrictions, this is simply not the case.

I also remember the three nailed on penalties Forest didn’t get at Goodison a couple of seasons back.

Very close to relegation and committed to a new multi million pound stadium, Hmm.

Poll: Where will we finish in the upcoming season?

Regardless of the Forest result that season, and the points deduction, they still stayed up by about 20 points. I dont think Everton had any favours from the premier league. Richard Masters was desperate to use Everton as an example and see them relegated whilst still turning a blind eye to City.

Building the new ground nearly destroyed the club and it was a massive gamble from an erratic owner and it’s been a big challenge getting it over the line.

But it’s absolutely brilliant, fantastic stadium, well worth it. New owners now who are all over the regeneration of the area and clearly know what they’re doing.

Hopefully Saints so well in the cups this season and you can come and see it. Or next season back on the prem.

After the game I saw an aerial view of the fans leaving the stadium, it seems that there are only two exits on to the dock road from the stadium, possibly enough if some of the fans stay behind and have a pint in the fan zones and bars etc, but not if there is an emergency and the stadium needs to be evacuated.

When they get on to the Dock road there are only two ways to go, left or right and a long way either way to a side road.

It struck me that it might get a bit crowded if everyone leaves on the final whistle

The nipper Aston villa bought will never get near their first team . Those two transfers were nothing but a convenience to help you both bend the rules. Like wise your woman’s team I doubt has a million pound turnover. So how the club can be valued at that price is beyond me. You are no better than the Chelsea’s and liverpools of the world.

It was the first game and no one, myself included, knew how to get on and get out so there were always going to be teething problems. Leaving Goodison from the Bullens Road and going down Gwladys Street was always a nightmare with a bottleneck of people. SMS is the same getting out by the railway bridge, you accept it.

It took us twenty minutes to walk from Rigbys to the ground and then about 25 minutes back into town after.

Around the ground is still going through regeneration, with bars, restaurants etc. It will take time, but we will work it out.

I think bending the rules is the only was of navigating the nonsense of PSR.

For the last five years, Everton have barely spent any money, winning the net spend trophy for consecutive seasons. It’s only the resilient dire football from Dyche and there being six utter shite teams that kept them in the league.

In the meantime Chelsea, City and Liverpool have spent billions so the comparison just doesn’t stand.

I agree with you about Goodison, but that actually had a lot of side streets so it relieved a lot of pressure.

But my point wasn't about individual hot spots, at St Mary's the Kingsland side has a similar problem and that has been even more complicated by building a fence to walk to the away end past the new Kingsland fanzone.

St Mary's has big exit points at all 4 corners of the outside concourse, Everton fans have to go through from the look of it only two big gaps in what was the old Dock Wall and then they are on the Dock Road so it is a double whammy after the game,

It is surrounded on 3 sides by water.

As I say it is not about after the game when there will be a more regulated departure with some fans staying in the ground to let it clear, it is about in an emergency

Villa for instance spend 91% of their income on wages. Man U on the other hand spend around 50%. Why should villa be able to spend more than Man U? The rules are to protect the villa owner doing a Pompey

Didn’t it go to court and he was proven not guilty? Zero evidence that Everton tapped him up.

He made a goalkeeping howler in a big game, doesn’t mean Everton are cheats.

You’ve never quite got over the 1984 FA Cup semi final have you?
