French Government on verge of collapse 15:15 - Sep 8 with 8056 viewsJoesus_Of_Narbereth

Following an imminent confidence vote which is expected to oust the current prime minister. That’s 5 prime ministers in 3 years apparently. Even knocks our record out the park. Macron is the one hand picking them, perhaps it’s time he shouldered some of the blame?

Anyway here’s a quote from the soon to be ex PM of France referring to the fact that France has been running a defecit for 51 years and every year they owe their creditors a hundred billion euros. Lamenting the fact that many young people growing up these days will probably have to work well into their 70’s or even 80’s because there won’t be a pension for them. Have a read and see if it sounds familiar:

“"Our country works, thinks it is getting richer, and instead every year it becomes poorer. It's a silent, buried, invisible and unbearable haemorrhage."

If an economy is creating Billionaires, then that economy is doing well (either that or hyperinflation). Wealth is not a finite resource that can be "hoarded", no matter how much people think that the likes of James Dyson sit on great piles of it like a Tolkein Dragon.

In the vast majority of cases, it's paper wealth tied into the value of businesses. Businesses that are generating income, providing services that people want, paying taxes, employing workers. In short, everything that we currently don't have enough of in the UK.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

It's not a finite resource but it can be hoarded. Which is why billionaires buy more houses, other property, businesses etc AND collectible stuff like art that often appreciates in value. Da Vinci's "Salvator Mundi" was last sold for over 450 million dollars to a Saudi Prince. It's previous sale price was 127/5 million in 2013.

Macron again goes with more of the same by parachuting another of his lackeys in as Prime Minister.

When will France realise that he is the problem?
