That was fab for us oldies (i was around 7 or 8 at that time). Huge huge part of the foundations/legacy of the club we love today.

Poll: Kitchen threads or polls?

Spacky, but 1976 never gets old. Actually, on a recent trip over, someone referred to me as a quintessentially 1970's Londoner, an observation I took as a badge of honour.

Was it the pint of Double Diamond that gave the game away?

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Remember crying my eyes out as a nine year old when Liverpool won the title in the last fifteen minutes of the last game ear close to the radio - radio two then I think. Dad having to console me, saying they will win the league next time son !!!!

Lived in Wokingham then, where Phil Parkes has always lived. Dave Clements was living here too, as well as Ian Gillard, they used to go in Norreys Barn, where my dad used to go.

Not old enough though really to remember much more than that.

Find it amusing Parkes and Francis and couple of others, still have the out of control barnets... No premature balding for these boys...

Same for me, but I was 8, I still have the memory of lying in bed with the radio on and being so upset. And strangely, I wasn’t far from you as we lived in Woodley at the time.
