So Red Pitch is a play about three lads who are trying to break into football and try-out for QPR. There must’ve been a thread on this at some point but I clearly missed it, because the play was in the West End. Anyhow, it’s coming to America and its US debut is at a small theater near where I live. There is even a Q&A with the playwrite. I’m going this weekend and will definitely be wearing a QPR shirt. I’m thinking Red/Black for the Q&A and classic for the play itself.

I saw it during its initial run at Soho Place a year or two ago.
We really enjoyed it. The three actors were superb and brought a few kids from the audience onstage for a kickabout before the play started.
It was good to see it was a different crowd from what you often see at the west end- much more diverse and young people with experiences of the issues at the heart of the play.
Really well done and glad it has made the move to the US. I hope it is successful there. |  | | |

I saw it at the Bush Theatre with my daughter and we both loved it. Great writing, brilliant performances and a clever set. American audiences might need a while to tap into the broad London street accents or maybe they’ll adjust accordingly. Highly recommended! |  | | |
