Yet you didnt mention Bazunu's error at Hull that gifted them the opener.
I was happy with Bazunu at the start of the season, he saved us against Wrexham and was decent against Ipswich.
But sadly the old issue of not saving shots began to appear again which is backed up by his stats compared to the other Championship keepers.
Do you ever change your views Nick?
Personally neither keeper is great and along with an additional Centre forward should be SR and Still's priority in January. |  | |  |

I would say that McCarthy made one blatant error and that was against Liverpool where his poor ability with the ball at his feet was exposed.
The other errors are a matter of opinion and I feel you are harshly judging him similar to the way are posters are quick to jump on Bazunu for his precieved inability to save shots
The difference is you often are quick to highlight posters that get on Baz's case but you do exactly the same with McCarthy.
You never mentioned McCarthys great save at Sheff Utd when we were 1 down that if he didn't save we would have lost the game .
I guess i find it strange as you generally write balanced reviews/ previews but you have that achillies heel regarding a few players .
Also let's hope Downs becomes the flavour of the month and finds his form because surely a club in our position who are meant to be potential Championship winners should have brought in an oven ready CF or possibly kept Onuachu rather than gamble on a 20 year old Bumdesliga 2 player to get us promotion.
I'd say Downs fits the bill at a mid table Championship club rather than a promotion contender..time will tell. | | | |

We need a new keeper and a new striker
