Week 12 results

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION 2 NEWCASTLE UNITED 1

Danny Welbeck scored a late winner as Newcastle's miserable record against Brighton at the Amex continued. A great 8 got this spot-on, and another 4 (all going 1-0) had the outcome.

BIRMINGHAM CITY 2 HULL CITY 3
Birmingham were beaten at home in the league for the first time since April 2024. Nobody had this spot-on, and only ghughes11 and mfb_cufc got the outcome. 18 predicted a win for Birmingham.

COVENTRY CITY 2 BLACKBURN ROVERS 0
Two goals in the space of three second-half minutes helped Coventry to move back to the top of the Championship table. Everyone predicted a win for Coventry, with a massive 12 getting it spot-on, in what was the weeks most predicted score.

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE 1 AFC WIMBLEDON 2
Wimbledon extended their unbeaten League One run to six matches as they came from behind to win at Plymouth. 3 had this spot-on, and another 5 got the outcome.

GRIMSBY TOWN 1 GILLINGHAM 0
A Charles Vernam penalty won it for Grimsby as they struggled to beat 9-man Gillingham. 4 got this spot-on, and a further 9 had the outcome.

MILTON KEYNES DONS 3 CREWE ALEXANDRA 1
MK Dons made it four wins in a row in League Two after this victory, with ex-U's Alex Gilbey scoring twice. Only mfb_cufc and NME_cufc had this spot-on, and another 18 got the outcome.

After a number of disappointing 6 game weeks this season, we finally came good in a big way this week, with an excellent 29 spot-ons in total, giving os by far the best 6 game week of the season so far. Not surprisingly this produced a number of decent performabces with nine members doing well to get two 3 pointers, but the weeks top performer went one better, with three 3 pointers. That was thrillseeker, who had the wins for Brighton, Coventry and Grimsby, and the MK Dons outcome, to make him the weeks top scorer with a superb 10 points. Best of those who got two 3 pointers were concordman, who had the wins for Coventry and Wimbledon, noah4x4, who had the wins for Coventery and Grimsby, wessex_exile, who had the wins for Brighton and Wimbledon. They each also got three outcomes, and all only failed to get the Hull win to give them a full house. Finally ghughes11, who had the wins for Brighton and Coventry, and three outcomes, only missing out on a full house by failing to get the Wimbledon victory. That gave all four an excellent 9 points each.

Happy Cup All the details for the 1st Round of this competition will be on a separate thread sometime tomorrow (Sunday).

In the Premier We have a new leader, with the top scoring performance from thrillseeker moving up him up three places to the summit. This means the five week run at the top for Sector4 comes to an end, but by having the Brighton 2-1 spot-on, he still takes the other Charity Shield spot. The excellent week for concordman moves him up a couple of places to third. Despite also having that Brighton win spot-on, Jorash63 drops two to fourth. Two places lower also for bwildered, although he got the Coventry 2-0 spot-on. A decent week for Daniel, who had the wins for Coventry and Wimbledon spot-on, as he remains sixth. For the fourth week running ghughes11 moves up a place, after his excellent wek. A decent week for blueeagle, that included getting the wins for Brighton and Coventry spot-on, moved him up a place. Two outcomes for unitedwhites drops him two places to ninth. The bottom three remains the same for the third week running.

In Diviision One Another excellent week for noah4x4 has extended his lead to a very healthy 18 points. Having the Coventry 2-0 spot-on was enough for Tropical_Us to remain in the other automatic spot. The Brighton 2-1 spot-on moves Blue4U2 up a place, by virtue of that 3 pointer giving one more than gerry_us. A good four outcomes for BFG keeps him in fifth, and durham_exile remains in the final play-off place, after he had the Grimsby 1-0 spot-on. Decent weeks for NME_cufc, who got the wins for Coventry and MK Dons spot-on, basher2010, who had the wins for Brighton and Coventry spot-on, Oxfcolu, who got the wins for Coventry and Grimsby spot-on, and the excellent week for wessex_exile, was not enough to move any of them up a place, but more importantly they all move closer to the play-off places. With only 8 points separating 2nd to 10th, this league is turning out to be as competitive as usual.

THE TABLES (84 out of 280 played)
