Next 5 league games will decide where we finish. 08:42 - Oct 19 with 868 viewsSwans9

Our three wins have come against the bottom 3. Our next 5 games 3 of which are at home are all games we can get points from so let's go on an unbeaten run against QPR Norwich and Ipswich at home and Charlton and Preston away.

Not a problem. We have a lot of fixtures in a short period of time its easy to miss one.

The next five league games won't even take us up to a third of the season. never mind decide where we finish.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

It could well decide Sheehans future though. We need to improve and very quickly. After that group of fixtures our next match is 22nd November. Just how much time does Sheehan get, Christmas or is that too long.

Perhaps. Depends how patient those in charge are.

I could get some of the vitriol flying around if we were consistently awful and in or around the bottom three. As it is we're merely average like most of the rest of the division. We've not been great to watch, but for the most part we have been competitive. However, I doubt ownership sanctioned the spending that they did with the hopes of finishing mid table so they will be watching the situation closely.

Whilst I did at the time and continue to disagree that last season's squad was as weak as a lot of people claim, we did look a lot more like we had an idea of what we wanted to do, and played with a lot less caution. Sheehan will probably be starting to feel the pressure. If we remain within a couple of wins of the playoffs he's probably ok, a poor run might finish him off.

I watched Preston on the w/e courtesy of a free ticket off a mate. Strong physical energetic team who like to get the ball forward quickly to Osmajic on occasions but can also play more intricate stuff through the middle . In short we will have to be switched on from the start cos if we go a goal down then it will be very difficult to get back on terms . They are well drilled as you would expect from Paul Heckingbottom . They lost because of 2 pieces of magic one by Johstone and one from Isaac Price .There was very little between the sides and if they had been awarded a first half stonewall penalty the result could well have been a Preston win. Heckingbottoms philosophy is he likes to see his teams play with no fear and take risks so our defence will have to be on their mettle.Huge and noisy Preston following in the away end too. A tough game for us for sure.

I expect nothing more than 0 points when we play them.

Got our tickets today so we will be going no matter what even though we live only 10 minutes away on the train.

We are also going to charlton a week on sat though and unless we buck our ideas up I dont expect much there either.
