People who support 2 teams... 21:05 - Nov 28 with 6375 views | dale_spotland | Just wondering who out of the posters on here have a 2nd or "big" team who they also support? and why? Always been curious as to the reasons people have for supporting 2 teams.
| Days like this one weren't supposed to happen to Rochdale. |

People who support 2 teams... on 12:34 - Nov 29 with 1181 views | jav14 | Followed Liverpool since I was 5. Saw them a few times at Anfield when they were ther best in the land under Paisley, Fagan and Daglish (1st time of asking). Even saw them a few times at Wembley. Mind you saw a fair few cup finals with other teams as my dad used to get tickets when he was a referee. Used to watch Reading when lived there for for a few years when they used to play at Elm Park and the Southampton when I lived there and that was the last couple of years at The Dell before they moved to Saint Mary's. Still look out for their results. And then when I moved back to Rochdale in 2005 bacame season ticket holder for the Sandy, only up until the end of last season. Got made redundant at the time when they were being renewed so couldnt afford to buy one. Back working again but come when I can which usual depends on when I'm not playing hockey. As far as I'm concerned Dale the club I support and Liverpool are the team I follow.
People who support 2 teams... on 12:42 - Nov 29 with 1161 views | Fondles | Man City for me Used to go with my Dad before starting watching Dale, would see around 10 home games a season and 3/4 away. Was coming to Dale with mates that drew me away from that. Now i pick and choose city matches (when can get away tickets) mainly for the booze up with my little brother.

People who support 2 teams... on 13:11 - Nov 29 with 1137 views | hull_dale19 | First team is of course Dale, my second team is Hull City. Simple reason, I am at university in Hull and go to watch whenever I can as its quite cheap. The KC is also an excellent place to watch football, not a bad seat in the house!

People who support 2 teams... on 15:46 - Nov 29 with 1068 views | baroniser | Always supported bolton growing up. No particular reason why, I just enjoyed watching them. Had a soft spot for Ajax too, again I just enjoyed watching them. I only started supporting dale around 7 years ago because my gf supports them. Nowadays though dale are my first team and Bolton my second team. Usually get to a few games a season at the Reebok.

People who support 2 teams... on 16:05 - Nov 29 with 1046 views | judd | Ist is Rochdale and second is bury because they are local, have some decent fans plus Deezel, and I feel sorry for them. Shakers - ra, ra ra!

People who support 2 teams... on 16:23 - Nov 29 with 1037 views | deezel | In days of yore i used to follow Man City as my second team purely because Colin Bell was playing for them, although i only saw him play live twice, when he packed up that was it with them. There's nowt like the feeling of having your team win/score ect and i've never felt the same about second teams.
People who support 2 teams... on 16:51 - Nov 29 with 1014 views | sweetcorn | There is a poster on here who likes to eat pies for breakfast cereal who i feel could add strongly to this post. I honestly believe he could be the record holder for the most teams ever supported. He has supported: Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and now City. Aswel as rochdale of course.

Am I right in thinking you've got a City tattoo as well Curt? Mine is easy and has been told a thousand times. Was brought up a Manchester United supporter by my older brother who used to take me to Old Trafford before I even knew where Spotland, when the Stretford End was a terrace. Don't remember much from those times other than I watched a 0-0 draw against Wimbledon in which Mark Hughes and a very young Ryan Giggs both had goals disallowed. Also remember my Auntie Pat (also a season ticket holder) shouting at our Darren for swearing in front of me. Then when he couldn't take me as often, my Dad took me to watch Rochdale and I've been going ever since but I still watch Manchester United and do get to a game every now and then.

To this day, Watching Dickov's goal still makes every single hair on the back of my neck stand up!
People who support 2 teams... on 18:35 - Nov 29 with 953 views | YadHoDale | 1. Dale 2. Leeds 3. Goole But whenever I see a local Derby on telly I have to take sides in the rivalry. Thus: East Anglia - prefer Norwich to Ipswich London - like Spurs/Fulham, dislike QPR/West Ham Midlands - like Brum/Baggies, dislike Wolves/Villa Sheffield - marginally prefer Blunts S Wales - Jacks NorthEast - Newcastle Manchester - used to prefer city, but the smugness of their loadsamoney attitude has turned me red recently. Merseyside - a plague on both your scouses (and I don't like Tranmere either.

People who support 2 teams... on 19:21 - Nov 29 with 930 views | ste1 | Live in London so can't get to as many games as I like. Still a few per season but not all that many in past couple of years. Have a Fulham season ticket to compensate. Can't say I'm all that passionate about them (sit in the neutral end) but the football is good to watch.

In the mid to late 90s my mate's cousin was working away a lot so I ended up using the spare season ticket most weeks at Maine Road, it was at a time when City were at the lowest ebb - I was even there the day Paul Butler scored the winner for bury there! I wouldn't say that I supported City these days as I've only been to the COMS twice to watch City since they moved but I'm happy for my mates that stuck with them for their successes these days as I know first hand how poor they were back then and the ridicule their faces from their red supporting mates.
