After the euphoria and exertions of Oxford, this was always going to be a struggle to raise our game again. We started brightly but after taking the lead BC were pushing us back, running the game and scored after a good defence splitting passing move. We still had the better chances when we countered but couldn't take them.
The second half continued in a similar vein and inevitably, we tired. As at the Kassam, the suns came on and added energy

Edit and continuation

the subs came on and added pace and energy. We could have won it if Kolli had shown some composure and connected as he has several times for the development squad.

A good and well deserved hard fought point.

Very promising signs in the first quarter of how Rangers could play with nippy, mobile forwards ably supported by Madsen who had his best game for us, even showing physical strength at times. Once Bristol City got a grip of midfield it was hard for us but the defence was strong and with better finishing we could have sneaked a win. Considering it injury list and that the Robins are a good team we can be pleased with the performance.
Hard to pick a MotM as it was an all round team display, but think might give it to Madsen, at least partly because he showed great character after numerous abysmal performances and clearly Marti hasn't felt able to trust him into forced by injuries.
