Interesting challenge today and one which will give a good indication of the level we are at.

Personally, I think we'll edge it and the 15/4 for a Dale win with Bet 365 looks good value. I'll be having a small wager on this.

Statement of Affairs due in 10 days - that should be very interesting. I wonder if Roger received all of his money?

Goldbond
at 16:20 18 Feb 2024

A lot has been said about the abolition of the Goldbond scheme and how valuable it was. For those that may not know the history (including perhaps the board of directors!) here is an extract from Exceedingly Good Pies in 1994 and an interview with the then club Commercial Manager, Steve Walmsley.

"For the financial year ending 31st May 1994, the turnover on all Lotteries [this included scratch cards to be fair] was £370,000 of which the nett profit after wages, prizes and expenses was £169,000............ When you add the profit Les Duckworth has made from Advertising and Sponsorship, the nett profit for 1993-94 exceeded £250,000 .................. Steve is very concerned at the National Lottery which is due to start on 19th November. "I just don't know how it is going to affect us" he said."

Goldbond continued to thrive under the stewardship of Francis Collins and Richard Wild.

Times, habits (and lotteries) change but how we miss an income stream such as this. It was criminal that this was allowed to decline and then abolished. Crime number 2 was trying to replace it with an inferior product operated by a third party who still earn a good crust out of it. Crime number 3 and perhaps the biggest crime of all, knowing how successful it was and how crap the replacement is, is not giving notice to the current parasites and reintroducing our own Lottery.

It's no wonder we're in the shite.

I've read a few times that one of the benefits of being in the national league is the live TV coverage.

Is this on Sky or BT Sport?

Apologies if I've missed it but I think this is some time soon (Price of Football) and KM has very kindly agreed that all proceeds are to be donated to the crowdfunding appeal - great gesture - what a guy!

edit - hope this works - ticket sales seem to be going well!

Andrew Kellys Shares
at 15:17 21 Aug 2021

First of all apologies for starting a new thread on this, especially if I've missed it somewhere but following this mornings brilliant brilliant news, this is now so so important.

As I understand it the agreed share transfer from Andrew Kelly to the Trust was put on hold due to legal action in relation to the hostile takeover.

Now that this has fallen through, can this transfer take place asap. For anyone that isn't aware, if the trust have ownership of these share this will take us over the magical 50% of shares in safe hands and ensure the safety of the club

Logged on an hour ago for the first time in 24 hours - and wow - what a 24 hours they have been.

Clearly there has been a lot of underhanded things going on over a couple of weeks and some excellent investigative work by several people on here has brought that to our attention.

I am out of touch with GDPR law but can we not formally request access to the emails of Jarvis, Rose, Curran et al?
