Man, we just won a penalty shoot out! Enjoy it. It doesnt happen often.
Also, just for a second, imagine if you were a qpr fan and scored the winning penalty in a penalty shoot out. What would you like to do? |

This lad is meant to be the future of irelands strikeforce... our best new talent since robbie keane... if hes as good as he is being billed in ireland, this is a great opportunity for us and for him... no brainer |

Really surprised by that substitution... we lost our shape completely afterwards and bolton were on top till half time... were not playing bad, have enjoyed good spells of possession. Horrible defending from a corner. Can see us scoring |

I agree with you oldpedro, holloways comments sound like a redknapp type approach to overhauling our squad and I don't think it will improve morale in the dressing room especially when it does appear fractured since holloway's oversaw the poor run of 6 losses and the imminent transfer of previously key players.
What holloway could have said instead and taken a bit of blame himself (which he should) is, 'we didn't have any senior strikers available today and the only other out and out striker was a youth teamer and he went off after 20 mins, so we were struggling in this department both before and during the game. I tried a midfield consisting of fringe players and more regular players who are returning from injury and it didn't work today. Defensively we made some silly errors which the lads know they need to improve on. Also, I've lost my previous 5 FA cup 3rd round matches with qpr, so what did ya really expect? Its six now in a row similar to the 6 we lost in a row before Christmas. That's a bit trippy isn't it?' |

This is insane... Polter does a good job and should be fighting for a place with Sylla and possibly or at least trying one of them partnering Washington or mackie up front... What happened to working with the squad we already have as was Holloways task?? And Polter actually is one of the leaders and motivators on the pitch from what I have seen too... Seems very disappointing |

As I mentioned in a previous thread, I think it is risky business to be selling arguably our best and most creative player when we could potentially be in a relegation scrap... On the other hand, he has put in a transfer request, so whilst I am disappointed to see him leave, and do not question his motivation whilst here unlike some of the so called 'mercenaries' which chery should not be affiliated with, it seems wise to sell him for a profit if he feels he has opportunities to play elsewhere at a higher level and hopefully be able to reinvest in the squad...
I do also think as a previous poster said that Luongo can play well in the more advanced midfield role which he does regularly for Australia and scores! |

I'm on a sunny beach in goa and am cautiously optimistic I might find a bar that will be playing the match. It will be the first match I've watched properly in months.

Whatever about caulkner, I don't see chery being sold in January transfer window when we are hovering 3 points above the relegation zone. He's arguably our best player and whilst by all accounts he is out of form, we would be taking undue risk in selling him given our current situation |

That's crazy about the translator... Surely, the club would have arranged for a translator/ tutor to give him one to one English lessons that they could use?? If not, they are not maximising the potential from their signing nor does he on the flip side, seem that motivated to play... Its a strange one to rely on another player, it seems unprofessional and just ad hoc |
