Everton See Tyler Dibling Bid Rejected By Southampton Friday, 1st Aug 2025 09:25 It has all been quiet on the Tyler Dibling front over the past month or so, but now it seems the bids are going to come in, Everton are first up, but their opening offer has been tutned down.
Sky Sports have been claiming that Everton have had a £27 million offer for Tyler Dibling turned down out of hand.
They say that Southampton had originally valued the player at £100 million, but are now being more realistic with their pricing and that they would be willing to listen to offers starting at £40 million.
Everton's offer is of course way below that and with other clubs hovering including Aston Villa, Chelsea, Tottenham and RB Leipzig, Saints are in no hurry to accept a low bid.

A typical "cheapy bid " from a Billionaire's club, who will try to convince Saints that £27 really is " a lotta money". Next week they will return at £35 mill. and say that's the best they can do for young player ... in a Championship side... (blah. blah, etc). We can acknowledge the "£100 million" quoted last season was almost equivalent to pi**ing in the wind, but we should certainly hold out for a decent sum ...(at least half of that) AND a goodly sell-on clause plus bonuses. Any other clubs showing real interest should take note if they feel they can make " a killing" at the expense of a "small club". We await the next move....

Rejected £27 million for a petulant sulking young man with at best a streaky goal scoring record in The Premier League….Hmm.

I take your point saintmark however, taking into consideration the way previous managers squandered Dibling's flair and enthusiasm by strangling his natural talent I'm not surprised by his apparent petulance and loss of form. Presuming that Dibling is not pushing for a move and the new manager has not only reignited his enthusiasm but also recognised his best playing position then we could be looking at a huge transfer fee down the line. 27 million now or 70 million next year could be the difference.

Still has introduced a couple more young guns during our pre season so if he goes it could allow one of those to get game time If he stays I would like to see him play more centrally and push into the box more often That would allow him to score more like he did against Swansea

Well, you got your wish, Everton came back with £40m (inclusive of add ons) and Saints knocked them back. My view now is that Everton should walk away and look elsewhere. Tom Fellows is avaailable at a lower price and with better stats than Dibling. That's my view, however, I do honestly think that Moyes really wants Dibling and Everton will come back with £40m up front. The player wants the move so Saints will get their best deal and let him go. That will happen in the next 48 hours.

Blogs 31 bloggersKnees-up Mother Brown #19 by wessex_exile February, and the U’s enter the most pivotal month of the season. Six games in just four weeks, with four of them against sides also in the bottom six. By March we should be either well clear of danger, or even deeper in the sh*t. With Danny Cowley’s U’s still unbeaten, and looking stronger game on game, I’m sure it’ll be the former, but first we have to do our bit to consign Steve ‘Sour Grapes’ Cotterill’s FGR back to non-league. After our shambolic 5-0 defeat at New Lawn, nothing would give me greater pleasure, even if it meant losing one of my closest awaydays in the process. What’s the excuse going to be today Steve – shocking pitch, faking head injuries, Mexican banditry or some other bit of sour-grapery bullsh*t? Derby County Polls |
