I said how poor he was after the Sunderland and Hull away matches when Wilf was still here and was begging him to prove me wrong. He did for a little while but that didn't last long and he's at that level again I'm afraid. His attempts at getting back to an onside position are embarrassing and must be so frustrating to the rest of the team. Brilliant win all did well, Fer and Gylfi in particular were inspirational.
The opposite side of that is Gomis. I have never slated one of our players loudly until today. I didn't want to see him come on and when he did, I screamed at every one of his pathetic efforts, as well as lack of willingness to chase players down, etc. His disdain for the Swans fans was shown by the fact that he walked straight off down the tunnel rather than acknowledge the fans (I guess he knew he'd get a slating) | | | |

He came on to stretch the game. He did that reasonably well. You don't need much ability to do that, strength and pace is enough as long you make the right runs. We had taken Paloschi off and wanted to keep their defenders from playing further forward.
The chance late on sums him up as a striker, he just isn't good enough and he knows it. I can't think of many PL strikers who wouldn't have got a shot away there. He will be gone in the summer if he can find someone prepared to meet his wage demands. | | | |

Sorry but he was only on for about 10 minutes and yet I almost lost my voice screaming at the lazy waste of space to chase, tackle and harry for the ball. It would have been bad enough if we'd been a couple to the good, but at 1-0 his cameo non-performance was unacceptable.

Honestly, he does. You can tell from his body language. Any striker with any confidence may not have scored, but would have got a shot away. He didn't have the self belief so tried to go round the defender and make the chance even easier.
