Good cross and a good header but the goalie should be better positioned to get a hand to that

Hall was the culprit on this occasion......and he knew it.

Very dangerous diagonal ball by Hall which was always on the short side. The Bristol full back was always favourite to get there although, perhaps, Eze could have made a bit more of an effort. From there Hall left his man at the back of the area and the CF stuck in a great header which most keepers would not save - some might but most wouldn't.

There were less risky passes on than that Steven Gerrard tribute.

Oh I agree Hall was to blame, but don't think it had anything to do with his lack of ability in the air

The ball takes 5 seconds from the interception to Diedhiou's head. Hall suddenly has two players to mark and Wiemann initially looks the more dangerous. Masterton is ball watching ignoring Wiemann. Even Van Dijk isn't stopping the ball reaching Diedhiou imo.

The ball goes close but just over Kelly's hand. Within inches. The no goalkeeper in the world comments are rubbish.

Kelly may be a little on the small side for a keeper but he looks good enough for us at this level, is still young and can learn and improve further.

It's not like we can blow the budget on a keeper.

As mentioned by me before, he is taller than Smithies albeit by a centimetre, but I don't recall much criticism of him being on the short side and Kelly only cost £50k.

I doubt we will see many better headers than that yesterday.

As I said after the game, it was an inch perfect cross and an inch perfect header, that happened in quick time. The odds on that happening in the championship are slim, apart from against QPR. It was a great goal.

Was far more annoyed with Hall’s shocking choice of pass to give it away.

Absolutely. Very ambitious pass. Should not have tried that. A shocker.

Very similar to Wells goal v Cardiff, don't remember too many blaming the GK for THAT one!
