Sunday night duffers club 20:07 - Sep 27 with 6898 views | KeithHaynes | I’ve noticed over the years that this site has thrown up some superb moments on a Sunday night. I’ll sticky this for the rest of the evening and do the same next Sunday. Ok I’ll kick tonight off. Your unexpected Sunday night memorable moment. Here’s one, Preston away 1981, gear box has gone, literally, on our car back to Haverfordwest, we are holding it up through the floor with several Tesco bags, we stop in Shropshire, the car is going best at 5mph, we park up. What happened next ?

Sunday night duffers club on 23:33 - Sep 28 with 1697 views | Thrasher6 | I remember the StagMad era well. He loved a bit of banter, but could spin out like a latter day Pikey...I miss getting under his skin...because he was a proper combatant son of a bitch...And Mansfield folk larging it up to the Jacks...come on. He was on a hiding...but loved him nonetheless.

My memory is even worse now than before but wasn't he the one that called Trundle spitter?

If you weren't such a hypocrite you would be all over Pikeypauls post as often as you do with mine and others. As to sex and travel, I'm acting on your wish currently. 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for your input...no, seriously!

He went absolutely bananas when we beat them 4-1 at the vetch. They had two players sent off which was thoroughly deserved and despite Liam Lawrence’s embarrassing attempts to throw himself down every time he got in the box it was an easy win, but he thought it was undeserved.

I thought Izzy was bitten, and someone was sent off for it. May be wrong though.

When Izzy iriekpen was with us, he was arrested on the Kingsway for fighting. In 2016 he got sent down for 3+ years, for glassing a bouncer outside a Notting Hill pub!! [Post edited 1 Oct 2020 9:18]

I’m not sure. My memories are sketchy as I get older, they’re like fingerprints on an abandoned handrail.

Agree, brilliant. Reminds me a bit of... Bilbo: I’m old, Gandalf. I know I don’t look it but I’m beginning to feel it in my heart. I feel thin… sort of stretched, like butter scraped over too much bread. I need a holiday. A very long holiday. And I don’t expect I shall return. In fact I mean not to. My memories are more like a droped £20 on a very windy day, no matter how hard you chase, it's always just out of reach and then it's gone. Then when you stop looking, stop thinking about it, you find a tenner. I never remember the full story!
