The fact that Russia needs help at all, whether it’s from the Chinese or drafting in Syrian “volunteers” suggests their special military operation is not going anywhere near as planned.
Does it? What if their mission was to start off WWIII, to distract the US whilst China invades Taiwan?
What if this has been planned, coordinated by all of the USA's enemies (Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, China, Russia, Germany?) to bring down the US while they have an ally in the White House?
You, nor I, know.
All I will say is that I can't escape the feeling that I am surrounded by naive idiots on our side. We are totally unprepared for what is taking place and the people responsible for ensuring that we are totally unprepared are in charge.

Why anyone would believe that Russia needs any helps at all is beyond me. Have you seen the size of their army and how much equipment they have. I doubt very much if a few hundred foreigners would make any difference.

Russian armed forces are approximately 900,000 with only 200,000 full time professionals. The other 700,000 are conscripts.
That’s right because the labs, even though set up by the USSR are just hosting harmless research in the Ukraine. Which has no connection to the USA - nothing to see here.
Except they have been developing bio weapons - as the nice lady inadvertently admits. She’s concerned the Russians will carry out a false flag incident to blame the Ukrainians so they can , err, invade??
Ducky you want to stop reading those marvel comics - it’s not always cut out who the “bad guys” are. It’s a world of nuance that we live in, nothing is clear cut (not even in the murky world of the “fact checkers”).

The base near Poland was bombed and 60 foreign mercenaries were killed. The rest ran back into Poland.

Yeah why would Russia need help, its not like they have struggled to subdue Ukraine!
Surely such a massive and strong military machine could smash through Ukraine in a week, 10 days...more?

You are beyond help Fringemill. Your posts are not based upon any reality/rationality just your ideology referenced with the current world affairs.
NOWHERE in that clip does the lady "admit" that Ukraine has been developing bio weapons . NOWHERE! Pretty much every university has a biolab and a majority would have pathogens that are potentially dangerous.
You believe what you want to believe as it fits your ideological worldview.
It is far better to grasp the universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring. - Carl Sagan

It’s bizarre isn’t it? If there was an Olympic event for mental gymnastics a lot of our esteemed posters would win gold every time.

At a guess I'd say there are somewhere around 30 "biolabs" within walking distance of Brynmill.
I used to manage one of them and we weren't making bio - weapons. I don't think any of the others were either.
If they were I don't think even Boris would be scatter brained enough to admit it to the Russians on TV.

and them and the regulars are still having their arses handed to them . Easy " fighting " ( a loose term to describe murdering civilians from a distance ). They think its hard going now, they'll going to find out just how hard it'll be once they can't use their armour in urban areas .

I’m suspicious of that professor bloke who posts on here. No doubt his claim that his work with chickens to help create knowledge and resistance to disease is just a ruse. The reality is the Americans, NATO and the west are paying him to create super chicken soldiers which can be parachuted into Moscow within forty five minutes with explosives attached to their beaks.

Who told you that, Vlad? It doesn't seem likely given that every Russian male between 18 and 27 has to do a years service.
Then again, if there are only 261k conscripts what does it say about the Russian military machine, it says its not a fearsome as a few on here seem very much to like saying.
As it says in that link, the Russian military was one of the things about Russia people thought worked, we thought it was an immense and very hard to stop machine that could roll across Europe if it wanted yet it seems to have been stopped by dads army and, ironically, a few truckloads of Molotov cocktails, they worled for the Finns too. Putin is still using Molotov's bread baskets too. Blatant propaganda and as that Russian news worker said live on air...LIES.
Or maybe Russia's conscripts aren't really up to it?
You don't seem to have much grasp on modern weapons. If they wanted they could use the German Blitzkrieg and totally flatten every Ukraine City and town and kill 80% of the population in them. They have control of the skies and could be uses their heavy bombers for bombing with dumb munitions which produce indiscriminate killing on a massive scale. Those bombers fly high and fast enough to be immune to most missile systems, they also carry cruise missile just like the Yanks. As do their ships. For weeks they have held off with massive ground bombardments as well. Only world public opinion is stopping them from massacring the Ukranians.
War has changed a lot in the last 70 years where civilians casualties are restricted compared to the past.
I have said from the beginning that I did not understand what he was trying to achieve, there is no way you can subjugate a country the size of Ukraine with a population of 40Million if they are provided with arms, not even with a quarter of a million troops, unless you are prepared to slaughter them.

You appear to have missed large chunks of the story. The indiscriminate bombing of civilian areas, the hospitals they bombed.
PS, the German blitzkrieg wasn't that much good in towns and cities, the tanks couldn't manouvre making them easy targets for "molotov cocktails" and various types of home made sticky bombs. The blitzkrieg was about surrounding towns and cutting them off, not about flattening towns and cities, that's what the Stukas and artillery did.
PS, the Russian bomber fleet can carry cruise missiles, they can use "stand off" tactics because they don't just use "dumb munitions anymore. They can launch air strikes from inside Russia.
PPS for weeks they have held off? Yes, this is really holding off,
All I can say is find some video film of a B52 carpet bombing, also watch the film of the MOAB actually exploding. Yes he has been holding off. What you have been watching is nothing like all out war.

The following countries have shown support for the Russian invasion. They have either shown direct support for the invasion, failed to support vote condemning Russian at the Untied nations, failed to implement trade sanctions or offered to buy cheap food and oil from Russian.
The UK gave these countries a total of £650 million in foreign aid last year. Hopefully out government will stop wasting out money on these countries and used the money to help rebuild Ukraine once Putin accepts he has made a serious miscalculation invading Ukraine.

No details appended, but you’re not wrong. I suspect one of the countries you’re referring to is India, they get aid, their looking to buy oil from Russia and their also looking to get a trade deal with us post Brexit. It’s a right tangled web.

You believe in the Ghost of Kyiv.
[Post edited 16 Mar 2022 13:52]
I believe you don't understand the written word...one person OR several people....it shows Putin hasn't got air superiority...do you understand what that says.
Hint, it doesn't mean the ghost of Kyiv is real, it means the Ukrainian air force is shooting down Russian planes in decent numbers.
I suppose trying to poke fun at something is easier than what you had been doing.
