Yet again you make a bad joke about what is obviously a remembrance day event to honour all those who lost their lives serving their country. You are a disgrace.

Yeah, cos that’s far worse than imposing this shower on us. Give yourself a pat on the back.

This is my point exactly, they are rock bottom at the moment. If Labour push for Johnson to go the Conservatives will only be stronger and have time to rebuild. Starmer is in the words of a couple of people I know slimy and in no way vote for him. If Boris was to go and Rishi Sunak got the gig Labour would be in real trouble as he has time to win the electorate over, particularly as the public think he did a good job during the pandemic.

The party took place next door to him. If he wasn’t there, he certainly knew about it. Whole cabinet is damaged. Needs a completely new broom

As it stands IMO Boris has to go, no excuses. He is pinning a lot of faith (or clutching at straws) that the investigation will get him off the hook. If they find that the garden is a normal working area and that staff were working outside as it was a nice day and better to work in the open air. Then say that Boris popped out to give a pep talk to his staff and thank them for their hard work during the pandemic, how would this then look? Not a chance in hell in my opinion, particularly with the bring a bottle, but you can see it coming. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-59979023 [Post edited 13 Jan 2022 13:54]

If he had personal honour ,Jon,he would take the red card for the team ,his party. That he doesn’t shows he is utterly immoral and without principle . He is letting down conservative voters as well as Labour and the minor parties

Johnson has to resign on 23:11 - Jan 13 with 1199 views | Professor | Telegraph (yes the Telegraph) and Mirror reporting Downing Street Party on eve of Prince Phillip’s Funeral. Beyond disgraceful. Whilst I would abolish the monarchy on the Queen’s passing, this is vile to the memory of someone who served the country for decades and our head of state. Beyond resignation. Should be behind bars

I’d have thought they’d be aware of some of the issues, but the cops outside Downing Street would only be responsible for security. I suspect dealing with anything inside Number 10 is well above their pay grade, they can’t get the Met to investigate now, expecting officers who’ve got mortgages to pay and families to feed and probably a brief from bosses not to get involved to intervene is very unlikely.

The irony being that absolutely loads of people I know were having parties in their gardens during that first lockdown, partic by end of May June time when the weather was very good and people were getting restless….the lawmakers can’t do it but just goes to show the contempt they have with no real opposition to their leadership.

He wasn’t recuperating from COVID-19 on the night before Prince Phillips’s funeral, that was in 2021. He was away from Downing Street because he doesn’t work at weekends. [Post edited 14 Jan 2022 9:10]

There has been a narrative building that the top person is responsible for everything rather than carrying overall accountability. Thus will build and endless round of finger pointing and calls to resign, the next big issue in the Conservatives, Labour or the Liberal Democrats will see calls of outrage and for the top person to resign! Cabinet Minister responsibilities are being overlooked and we'll be the worse for it.

He may not have been there, but I find it inconceivable to believe Boris wouldn’t have been aware of or not invited to this do. We aren’t talking about an office junior leaving, this guy would have been a key player on the team, he was Boris’s director of communications responsible for directing spin and managing the media - Boris’s equivalent of Campbell. The guy is now deputy editor of the sun.

Would that be a private prosecution brought about by your good self ?
