Today

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

If Boris hasn't gone soon, then they will be at the next election.

I worry if he doesn’t go soon the damage that will be done in the name of saving him.

We’ve already had:

- defund the BBC
- ‘academise’ hospitals
- sonic booms in the channel to deter migrants
- extra powers for magistrates

All policies to chill out the 1922 lot that have been suggested at a rate of knots.

The MP's with seats picked up from Labour at the last election will be bricking it and force him out.

Only chance they've got of keeping seats is to cross the floor

I don't delve into politics much as its not really my thing and I get out of my depth pretty quickly, however I'm staggered he is still in post. What will it take for him to go, its like Corbyn hanging onto the labour leadership even though he knew he was unelectable. So much damage being done the the parties they claim to lead.

Policy does not equal telling people what they want to hear.

Hook, line, sinker.

Can’t remember who said it but remember hearing someone say that Boris’s defence for this criminal act was that he was simply too incompetent to know otherwise is the most damning take on the fiasco that is modern right-wing politics. People actually voted for this buffoon!!

This should be manna from heaven for Labour.

Johnson is no mug as he is presenting himself to us as a charming ,likeable posh, raffish chap that ,warts n all,is a leader for our country in these times. That he is not and is purely in this for self preservation is no surprise.People underestimate him, which is dangerous.

Many on Bury voted Conservative and few posh-even less public school boy/girls. They just excercised their legal right to vote, which Labour wanted before the Conservative Party historically. Now many voters dont want anyone to vote Conservative at all effectively making us a one party state.

For me,very first priority is to abolish this monarchy of ours a we now it.

No politician ,Labour or Tory leader had the guts to campaign on that .Nothing divide like it.

meh

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

The disgruntled tories won’t try to oust him until they are absolutely sure they have the numbers to do so. Labour are in a similar position. If they try to oust him but the tories close ranks and support him it will actually strengthen his position.

He’s now frantically trying to hold on by appeasing his critics in the party by throwing out all the covid restrictions completely, defunding the BBC etc. He’s essentially now in their pocket and they can get him out and play with him whenever they fancy.

The allegations of threats and blackmail to withdraw funding from the constituencies of ‘rebel Tories plus reports that the Sue Grey investigation has found the email trail warning Johnson against the number 10 garden party are yet more ammunition.

Why would Labour want Bojo out when he's their best chance of winning! Put another way, when Bojo won the election I had a clue what he said his policies were but Starmer, I haven't a clue what he and Labour stand for right now.

If the tories descend into all out civil war there could be an election sooner than should be, Labour need to be getting their act together.

I won't be voting for them though, not unless Starmer seriously ups his game.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Very true on Starmer.

Needs to demonstrate his own policies.

That said, he has been cute enough to let the Tory party fail on Brexit, and not appear unpatriotic on Covid. The recent polls tell you he has played it right.
Give them enough rope.

But he has to say what he is all about soon.
And his relationship with Drakeford seems strangely distant.

Boris is dishonest and some of the stuff he’s spouting is unbelievable, but there are people who’ve bought into his bull before anD will do so again, they are taken in by his roguish manner and charm. I believe he is the only Conservative leader with a charm which will resonate with voters going forward, Starmer and Labour need to finish him off.

Starmer doesn’t need to say anything about policies at the moment, Labour should keep the focus on the Conservatives sleaze and Boris lying.

I doubt very much we’ll have an early election if the Conservatives are in turmoil/ civil war, they’ve got an 80 seat advantage and would be mental if they went to an early election in a state of disarray. Despite their internal squabbling, they will unite because a divided Conservative Party in power is better for them than a divided Conservative Party in exile.
