The Paterson report from Thursday ! 13:48 - Jan 16 with 21234 views | KeithHaynes | Not refusing to play, not anything to do with his contract. No smoke, no fire. > I will leave the aforementioned original post above because we can’t always know everything, part true, however, there’s most certainly an issue. And if he has refused to play for the club then get rid. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/56746/jamie-paterson-unl

The Paterson report from Thursday ! on 20:55 - Jan 18 by Chief | Yes, but do we know for certain that your second paragraph is how it played out? |
From the official site on Pato signing "Swansea City has completed the signing of Jamie Paterson on a free transfer, subject to international clearance. The 29-year-old forward has put pen to paper on a one-year deal at the Liberty Stadium, with the option for a further 12 months." How do you know what the f is written in as the option? How does anyone apart from the club, it's solicitors (who would have written the contract) Pato, his agent and their solicitors (who would have read the contract and advised their client accordingly) ? All anyone seems to know is Pato "wasn't in the right frame of mind" and is training with the U23's at the mo. If he's refused to play, he's breaking his contractual terms If he's "suffering with mental health" then he's not breaking terms. Normally an option can be triggered at any time, with just a written notice saying about the extension being taken. Pato was happy to sign it when no-one wanted him; even Boro fukedhim off after a few weeks. If he's refusing to play, fine him the 2 weeks wages allowed and get him training with the U18's (we may need our U23 for the 1st team. No need of a bad influence on them) Fine him if he's late. fine him for every break of the contract and everything else a club is allowed to fine a player for failure of contract terms Maybe the club could keep him doing that until after the end of the transfer window. Then let him rot as a warning to other players, until he has an attitude readjustment. Hero (Vs our eastern cousins) to zero now (if the stories are true) Any Club is bigger than any player, ex owner, or present owner. Seems some forget that very simple fact
| If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious. |

Think there's a fair bit more to come from this, I'm gonna wait and see how it all comes out, all is probably pushing it, but you get my meaning.

I see a 'heart felt' apology coming the fans way in about a week.

The Paterson report from Thursday ! on 20:06 - Jan 19 by sw02sea | Paterson won’t be the first or last player to down tools, and get what he wants. He joins the ever increasing list of money grabbing, mercenary, selfish b@rstard footballers, that like to think they are a planet, and the World spins around them. Him and his agent know exactly what they are doing. If WBA come in for him, they are quids in. If they don’t, they know we would be offering him up for sale as damaged goods. At probably a knock down price, as what club wants a player that has refused to play ? And if no one comes in for me, hey I’ve got a “new” 18 month contract anyways! |
He' a nobody. He had a few good games but then gets blown away. He is paper weight and n no way a firt team cert starter. It make me sick to see Fulton being ousted to play him.

Patterson is a goalscorer and creator Fulton is a water carrier. Sadly Pato let down by his agent, impressed how Martin spoke about him

Whose played in the PL. Patterson has no chance. He’s had some decent moments and some great shows of pure skill but has been anonymous for about a month and a half. Great players are far more consistent . I think he’s burned his bridges with the fans most definitely. Can’t see him playing for us again

Well, its coming out that he's been poorly with mental health issues and seems like he's been manipulated, going by what Martin as said, time to cut him a bit of slack and see how it all pan's out.

We reported this five days ago. Although Martin states he isn’t using that as an excuse. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/56787/jamie-paterson-tim

Paterson is in no way capable of carrying anything at all. He would be washed away by a babbling brook.
