Season ticket renewal 15:27 - Jan 24 with 7488 viewssw02sea

Just been on one of the other Swans sites, and this topic has come up there. There seems to be varying levels of apathy, concerning the renewal of season tickets. Even from Phil Sumbler, who many will know as a die hard Swans stalwart.
Could it be a mixture of the covid blues we’ve all had to endure, and because of this, people getting out of the habit of watching live football, and finding other pass times instead.
Or perhaps, Some of the football has been hard to watch (Cooperball)
Or watching games like one in particular with 75% possession, and loosing 1-4.
Or especially now, with inflation and price raises in seemingly everything, it’s hardly a wonder that the last thing on people’s minds, is stumping up cash for a season ticket.
My mate who sits next to me, watched 2 games earlier this season, and hasn’t been back since.
Considering we were both North bank boys, and stuck labels on the seats we wanted in The Newly built Liberal Stadium ( on the halfway line, half way up the East bank) you can understand he’s no fly by night supporter, but says for whatever the reason he has fallen out of love with football in general.
Have to admit there are people around me, who are still mulling over whether to renew.
Any thoughts?

Anybody know how many we have sold so far?

So, I messaged the ticket office last Thursday, asking for a call back. You are then supposed to get a callback within 48 hours.
Tried calling them yesterday, but after 45 minutes on hold I gave up.
Again this morning.
Now I have been on hold over an hour, going from number 41 in the queue, to 27.
My mate who used to work there says there are only 2 people answering calls.
As most other things within the club these days,it’s a effing shambles.
Can’t do on the internet as I am renewing quite a few, not linked.
Seriously, it really is a shambles and people will not be able to renew by 5pm, so will be expected to pay an extra £20 a ticket. If that happens to me, then my 4, and the 3 others, won’t be renewed.
Peed off.

I renewed mine this morning , admittedly online but I've had no email confirmation so it s a case of wait and see.

There were 4 working there but 2 have gone on loan to Lincoln.

Never had problems like this before. They think they can have 2 people dong the jobs of 5 or 6.
Madness.
Hundreds, perhaps thousands, won’t renew as they are not going to wait 3 or 4 hours to speak to someone.

Considering all the email reminders that I have had that sounds like a very poor show from the club. Just as amateurish as the recruitment dept. The on line payment system wasn’t much smoother, I had to generate a password from my card issuer 3 times, each time the system never gave me a box to put the pass code into - took me 4 attempts to get it done. Just hope they haven’t charged me 4 times.

Is internet on rations up there in Builth then ? 🤔

It wouldn’t let me link the tickets up. Plenty of internet lol.
Never had these problems before.
I find that the club is getting more amateurish every season.
So much for the next level.

We have a CEO who is totally out of his depth and it's filtering through to all aspects of the club. First time I'm not renewing early - no confidence in anything about Swansea City at the moment.

If people actually believed Martin ,they would expecting an exciting new season .
People are not dumb and Martin is very good at PR especially his own.

I expect him to leave this summer and yet again we start anew although new owners would be the ideal option. That way, Martin is toast .

I was going to wait, then my wife said just do it so I tried ringing. I was caller 34 and I gave up straight away. I tried again 2 hours later and I was number 34 again and I only went down 2 places in 25 minutes so again, I gave up.

I was going to visit the ticket office but couldn't be bothered. Now I will probably/possibly renew before the march deadline.
I might not, I might decide that as I'm probably going to miss all the Tuesday games, that I will tickets match to match.

With everything thats going on I don't see there being a problem getting tickets net season. We'll see.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Ask for a call back. Before 5pm. They will ring you in the next few days and honour the lower price

Too late now. A real sense of apathy has set in very quickly with me.

I see Martin talking up Paterson who as far as I'm concerned has shite on us. I see a team being badly run, square pegs in round holes, poor formation and strategy. I see the window passing us by, another window of promises being made but not kept.

The money we spend going to the Swans would, if saved up in the bank, pay for a holiday next year. Tickets, food, drink, stuff from the club shop...it all adds up and I might just decide I have better things to do.
If they can't get something as simple as enough staff answering the phones right, why should I make the effort?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

The pay on the day prices are quite high cat, not something I'd pay whilst a season is £14 a game.

I was 50/50 in renewing for this season, and won’t be renewing for next season until the players stop going on their knee before every single match.

Thing is, Tref, the renewal now is 348.50 and now I'm working I'll miss all midweek games. from the start of the season we had 6 listed including one Friday game, more could be midweek if we have a cup run or two, I live in hope!

So do the maths, my ticket is then just over £20 per game IF I go to every game. I tried looking to see what matchday prices are but the official site is showing £7.50 across the board. I don't know why but if they have some kind of offer going then I feel screwed there too! Realistically I wont make every Saturday game as I could easily catch covid or be ill some other way, maybe have something more important to do, such as when we play Coventry, it's my wifes birthday.

All in all I probably will renew at some point because my son wants to go but I'm really not feeling the love for football right now.
Martin's team is just as boring right now as Coopers was.

Do they have a ticket offer running, cheap tickets on sale?

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I've already bought my season ticket, and I'll boo every time they take the knee, as I've done since it all started.

The £7.50 is the kids price. The ticket site displays that price before you delve down and pick a full price adult ticket.
