Seems she was already their Head of the Academy. The owner has been very progressive and has plenty of cash behind him - he owns Ecotricity. Planning a new sustainable stadium too. He would be the type of owner we might enjoy - although no meat pies allowed in the kiosks.

Pleased to see this, really hope she makes a success of it and others follow on soon elsewhere.

I'm all for best person for the job and hiring on merit, and if that means we continue to see men dominate our managerial appointments then so be it, but with womens football getting ever more professional I'd love to see clubs of our size and budget at least demonstrating evidence that they're not turning a blind eye to what will likely become an increasingly competent pool of future management talent.
